Legit 50/50 thought this would be about Dump.

Then I realized he's only raped two dozen... That we know about.

Of course he's happy. God is on his side. If He wasn't, than He wouldn't have let him rape and assault all those women. Obviously part of God's plan. And when the big man is on your side, ain't nothing no cops can do about it. He'll be out in a couple of days.

/at least that's what he's thinking

He speaks through me
He has needs
Like I do
We both want
To rape you

Here the media is barely mentioning the SBC coverup. I would how many of the Ogle family's buddies are on the list. (The Ogles are a local media dynasty in OKC, with reporters on at least three of the four network affiliates.)

Given that US Senator James Lankford was once in charge of the major Baptist grooming ground Falls Creek, I wonder if HE is on the list too.

What about putting the pieces of sh*t in prison?

The kind of god that gets a little girl pregnant to make a messiah.  Women are just holes and incubators to them.

Well of course gods aren't real.  But their mythology informs what kind of people they are.

I can't even snark on that, as it's the truth.  So I'll just nod here

CSB: Back in the 90s I was banned from the First Baptist Church of Spartanburg, SC. We had these kids help us during a conference. I called the head pastor's son a farking idiot. Yes, he was a dumbass. We thought that was funny until the next year. The company I worked for could do the gig as long as I didn't go. That was probably the best news I had gotten. That particular job sucked.
Southern Baptists are the biggest group of hypocrites I have ever worked with. They ARE what turned me off of church and God.

I half expected this to be about our local cult.  They've been in the news lately, but it's been mostly about sexual abuse of kids.  Typically, when the news finally breaks, it turns out that the leader had known about it for a long time.  Rather than going to the authorities, the leader and his elders do "pastoral counseling" ... at least until the news leaks.

How about "If leaders of a particular church are found to have covered up abuse, they lose their tax-exempt status".

Small town pastor for a 1-room congregation? Yep, no more exemptions.

Archbishop of a major city archdiocese? Entire archdiocese loses it.

Give them a real, major financial incentive to clean themselves up, and it'll happen, instead of promising to do better and moving the offenders elsewhere. Wanna keep moving them around? Fine, keep burning more and more of your churches.

/police civil settlements should come out of their pension fund and departmental budget
