Have Republicans realized that so far thoughts and prayers have been pretty much useless in the preventing the slaughter of these children?

If a jobless person prays for money the expectation is that they will go out and apply for a job.

Why do politicians offer thoughts and prayers and never apply for a job?

Can't do anything about the murders. Can't do anything about mental health. Can't do anything about improving employment, wages, retirement, healthcare, education, bad water, air, soil. Might as well fire them all.

I was going to say, Sinema tweeted the same farking thing. They've got that covered. A bunch of useless, bought and paid for Republicans including Kyrsten Sinema sent out the same bullshiat thoughts and prayers tweet.

Lifting the families up in prayer? They aren't lifting up sh*t. You know what I pray? I pray they one day PERSONALLY know the pain and suffering they've caused by doing nothing.

I'm getting a real "collapse of the Soviet union" vibe from all of this...

Instead of thanking the first responders, I am sure they would appreciate not having to pick up dead children instead.

To hell with your "thoughts and prayers."

If "thoughts and prayers" worked, America would be the safest advanced Western country, as it is the most religious.  If "good guys with a gun" worked, America would be the safest advanced Western country, as it is the most heavily armed.

"Thoughts and prayers" don't work.  Adding more guns doesn't work.  Gun control laws work.  Lawmakers: stop offering "thoughts and prayers" and start doing your job - making laws to solve problems.

You know they got this shiat on a template.  Hell, the next T&P's tweet is already written for next weeks shooting.

Media needs to stop sanitizing itself and show the corpses. People need to be disgusted. We deserve to be forced to see the horrors we allow instead of sanitizing it for Prime Time. This should not be made palatable

Thinking and praying must be two completely different things- They need to be done separately?
Wait... If we THINK too much, we might not NEED prayer... And if we pray too much, what do we need to THINK for?

It's a real conundrum... So load up on guns and shoot your friends!

Can you imagine the shiathole tge Republicans would make of their country if the US split into two?

Can you guess how many of those Republicans would want to run to the Blue States after a few months? I would guess everyone who was well enough off to not be a plebian but wasn't in the very top of the new government

Honestly, the "thoughts and prayers" line at this point is more offensive than silence. You clearly have no real sympathy for these people and have no intent on addressing the issue. Just shut up and sit on your hands, it's more honest.

Right, christians?

If Emmett Till had lived and died in the 21st century the MSM would pillory his mother and Jet Magazine for publishing the picture of him in his casket.

And SCOTUS justices would probably be split whether it was protected speech or not

Unfortunately there is no easy way to make such a division.

The cultural divide today is not regional (as in he Civil War), but urban vs. rural.

These assholes abound in the rural and exurban areas of every state, even blue states.  Just as the urban areas of red states are consistently and strongly Democratic.

There's simply no way you could draw a border that divides the two Americas.

We just need to send a AR type weapon, probably a 16" rifle with a .223 Wylde barrel, to every American who can legally own a firearm. On top of that we'll send them 4 - 30 round magazines and 1000 rounds of 62gr Green Tip 5.56 ammo. Next we'll make it legal to openly carry a gun pretty much everywhere, and definitely on ALL, local / state / federal property.  Finally, for maximum effect, we're going to start distribution in large cities and work to areas of smaller population.

Imagine all the peace and harmony as cops are surrounded by caring citizens ready to help with firearms that can cut through a bullet resistant vest like a hot knife through butter. Active shooter? Try active TARGET. LOL! Imagine all the camaraderie and love of a polite society (an armed society is a polite society amirite?) walking through the halls with their legislators while openly carrying a weapon that can penetrate many bullet resistant facades.

Maybe what we need is less signaling and more legislating.

Americans overwhelming support stronger regulation on how firearms are sold. Do you think it's time for Republicans to stop blocking them?
