Ah yes, the alcoholic snow cone. Those things are great.

I lived in China for a year in the late 90's. I managed to develop a taste for baijiu after several months. If you haven't had it...it's hard to imagine a worse flavor in ice cream.

Chinese liquor is distilled, I presume, from rice and lead.

Alcohol and Ice Cream go quite well together.  The ethanol gets in the way of ice crystals and you end up with a smoother churn.

Being from China, the lead paint chips add color and a crisp texture to the final product.

People with genetic difficulties with digesting both milk and alcohol invent a double-whammy. What a country!

The descriptions of the flavor and aromas of moutai don't sound appetizing as a drink. The flavor of the drink is likened to nail polish remover and rotten cabbages and the aroma reminds one of the barnyard and industrial solvents. Even the more charitable descriptions uses things like intensely funky, rotting fruit, and your brain futilely trying to connect it to something remotely similar. I doubt it being added to ice cream would make it taste any better.

Several years ago, my dad discovered an awesome recipe for a vodka mango sorbet. You bet that stuff was smooth. It was also easy to scoop.

Just make sure to follow the recipe. If there's too much alcohol, you might end up with slush... which would be better served in a margarita glass with a lime wedge.

You should share that recipe.

He might still have it in a cookbook somewhere, but this must've been close to 20 years ago. Come to think of it, there was also lime juice involved.

There are plenty of online recipes, though. Here's an easy one that calls for frozen mango chunks (but lemon instead of lime juice):

I'd imagine that the flavor of frozen mango chunks varies widely between brands, so maybe it's not the best option. Then, of course, there are online recipes for ice cream instead of sorbet.

Because it contains an alcohol concentration of 3%, the research and development team advises consumers not to drive after eating it and minors are not allowed to buy it.

Made with 106 proof booze.  That's like a Justin Bieber song "with" Dr. Dre, were all Dre says is, "uh huh, shyeah" once in the chorus.

There's no recipe, but it's fun to put mint chocolate chip ice cream in the blender with Malibu rum.

oh dear lord... one time on the way to Maine we stopped at the NH border ginormous wayside booze store. they had nips of pinnacle marshmallow... on remainder at 25c. between that and the obligatory covfefe brandy, my golf game was pretty much off the rails that entire week.
