National Wine Day is on a Wednesday?  What genius decided that was a good idea?

Off and on, I've been working my way through different Mexican wines....I'm happy enough with them that my wife and I will visit their wine country in Baja next fall.

I've been loving Gascon's Malbec, which is also from Argentina. Runs between $11-14 in my neck of the woods, but it's pretty fantastic.

Since we're on an Argentinian Malbec kick this one's a great Malbec-Cabernet blend:

My favorite Pinot Noir.

These Jura region wines are hard to find on the shelf, but we had this Poulsard a few weeks ago and can't recommend enough.

This tastes like what you'd imagine wine tasting like 2k years ago - very light body, notable herbal notes and mineral flavor.

nom nom nom

If you ask for vino rojo they won't know what you're talking about. Vino tinto is the most important term we learned the last time we were there. (Unless you go more for the whites.)

Thanks and we do prefer reds!

This isn't an everyday wine (for me) but my wife and I had it for our anniversary meal and it's one of (if not the) best Pinots I've ever had

What did the grape say when it got crushed? Nothing, it just let out a little wine.
