There's a special tank that has to be filled every 1000 miles or it disables the starter.

At least it's not a Norton which requires this every 100 miles:

In this case, no.  You can pay A LOT more for a MTB.   But doing so would get you things that make one worth the price, like say a suspension so when you land that jump in the second picture you don't slam your nuts into your throat.

Considering the average age of their customer base, maybe they should venture into motorized wheelchairs or hoverounds instead of ebikes.

I thought "high volume" was the appeal of their motorcycles? Obnoxiously loud so you could be "seen" on the roads.

Maybe they could attach an electrical transformer to give it something to leak oil from?

Yep. Spec is pretty good for a commuter, but really you're just buying the brand. Like most Harley's, you can get a lot more bike for the same price. That won't stop a lot of idiots though.

There's a thing in pricing where expensive means good. Look at the vodak isle. The expensive it often inferior to the cheap but not bottom. A $1000 electric bike can be pretty good, but they go out of business because the $4000 bike seems fancier. Like if you take a general look at iPhone vs Android. For 90% of people the different features don't make a whit of difference.

No they're  not, they're only using name brand off the shelf stuff only the frames are sort of unique and they're made by giant.

https://serial1.com/products/mosh-cty?variant=39950665121862

Click on the specs it's all name brand stuff that's industry standard sizes do you want trp brakes and rotors or the schwable tires gates carbon drive or brose motor and controller that specialized and others use...

Or are you talking about the integrated lights...

First, you don't have to worry about those anymore, Ford has already announced the end of them, due to the chip shortage.

Good...

Second, my theory is that Ford declared no more cars in the US, except for the Mustang, then decided they wanted an EV. But the only way they could build it and not go back on the word is to declare that it is a "Mustang". It would be a decent looking EV on its own, but the Mustang badge just ruins it.

I have an electric mountain bike with a carbon fiber frame that weighs about 37 lbs, and that's considered light.

This one, OTOH, is apparently 59.5 lbs. Holy shiat!

Now, their street bike looks sweet. Nice design...

The price point is acceptable, but a 60 lb mountain bike with no suspension and a single speed? Yeah, that's about as stripped down as you can get.

It's 48 lbs per the spec sheet, I mean mountain bike has such a broad definition now, this is really a relaxed gravel bike/commuter with flat bars but can't call it that since it doesn't have drop bars.

Everyone here is comparing it to a 6K downhill bike which should be a full suspension bike.

I mean it's no different than any hybrid or even classic rigid  mountain bike people commute on all the time. Just with balloon tires, which I've even switched to on my gravel commuter cause they're comfy, better grip , and I can run them at low pressure.

I've found 2 different sites that said 59 lbs. And the Harley site was a clusterfark, so I couldn't find it there. Maybe Harley weighed it without the battery. :-)

They have a larger battery one with the CVT that weights 60 it's on the specification tab on every model.

I figured that was heavy. The last carbon fiber mountain bike I saw in a store was light enough to pick up with two fingers. People say this one is 59lbs?  That's insane.

Your motorized bicycle weighs only five pounds more than my full suspension mtb, but I built it up stout because I'm a big guy and I break sh*t. It's lasted me over ten years now, so I did it right.

I must have missed that rule that commuter/gravel bikes had to have drop bars. Huh. I better go replace mine.
