I figured with all the parts he's been breaking it was even odds drug or physical therapy rehab. Sorry, Steven, you can't dance around on stage like you did 50 years ago. But congratulations, you've outlived a majority of your early fans.

Honestly, when you get to be 74, why not just enjoy drugs if you enjoy them? How much longer do you want to live really? Unless he has people who rely on him for income or something, but I don't think he does

Aerosmith has toured every year from about 1997 until COVID shut everything down.

There are literally hundreds of people who rely on Steven Tyler for income.

I paid for tickets to an Aerosmith show in the early 80s where Tyler fell off the stage in the middle of the 1st song,
then after security hoisted him back up, he proceeded to start throwing punches at Tom Hamilton.
End of show. Lights up. Thank you. Good night. No refunds.
Haven't bought anything of theirs since.

Fark that guy.
Retire already.
You haven't put out a good album since 1976.

Steven's a textbook addict, one of most things is too much for him.  He estimated he blew at least $20M-$30M in today's money on every drug under the sun.

It's been a year or two, but I saw ST on a Southwest flight back to Nashville. He was seated and holding a small dog while his female assistant(lover, per article?) stood in front of him to keep people from gawking or talking. Given how silly his Nashville-related project-at-the-time was, I don't think anyone was in a hurry to do either.

No. There are tons of people who didn't put money in savings or didn't put money to work.

My very first rock concert was Aerosmith at the Orpheum Theater in Boston in 1973 or so. Blue Oyster Cult was the opening act. Good times. We had almost the worst seats in the house, 2nd to the last row of the 2nd balcony and all the way over in the corner. But it was still a great time.

cuz drugs are pretty dangerous today with fentanyl rolling around?  Cuz maybe he is old enough to know there is a lot more to life than being so high you can't remember your kids or grandkids names?

Oh and  If you want to OD accidently go ahead and pick that drug habit back up after 20 years clean, you'll not be enjoying them for very long at all.

People who were never addicted to drugs have the worst ideas about drugs.

Valid points. Folks don't typically enter rehab because they thought it was a good idea. They are usually being urged by people who they care about to go because of the impact it has on those folks. There is potential, and I my hope, that he is addressing the issue before he hits bottom, since he knows what the bottom looks like for him.

He is giving up a hefty paycheck to do this, so one assumes he must recognize the value of getting back into sobriety.

Aerosmith did a book signing at the Border's Books I worked at (I was working 'security') & they were all there. Steven *screamed* out my name (I was more than a few feet away), told the rest of the band to say "Hi" to me, chatted with me for a few & then they started meeting & greeting people who were getting books signed.

It was a really weird evening. Joe Perry kept sending back his mochachinos & being kind of a dick.

Years ago I was doing some recording with my old bass player, who had a seizure disorder. We'd spent a couple of days on the recording and mixdown, and were both completely sick of the song at that point.

A timely seizure completely wiped his memory of the previous several days, so once he recovered from the seizure he was able to listen to the song with fresh ears and we managed to get a pretty good mix.
