1) Red States can't play by Red States' rules. They are thoroughly corrupt. Look at TX for a primer.

2) Blue states have better rules to promote a better outcome (at least that's the idea). Why trade down to live in shiat?

2022-05-24 1:55:38 PM
Maybe because democrats, in so very many ways, aren't like republicans

2022-05-24 2:11:08 PM
More like blue states are ethical.

Republicans and Democrats respond differently to events. Let's say a judge in Kentucky retires and Biden refuses to appoint a new one because fark Kentucky. Would the Democratic supporters go "WOOO stigginit MAGA!!"   Of course not, because it's petty and stupid and would hurt Louisville and Lexington more than anything else.  The Democrats in the media and Congress would be the first ones to tell the president to do his job properly. But reverse the parties and Fox News would think it's the greatest idea they've ever heard.

2022-05-24 2:47:03 PM
Probably because of that pesky Constitution that Red States claim is so important to them yet they seem to violate every chance they can get?

Republicans don't have rules.  They believe that might makes right.

The Red States have RULES?

/Sounds like gvernemnt overreach to me

What the fark, why would you refuse to nominate a judge
Even Trump wasn't dumb enough to do that

2022-05-24 3:10:02 PM
Because red states suck the life out of blue states to subsist on federal tax dollars while vilifying federal taxes and blue states who give them their low tax utopia unless you are a land owner then red states tax you unless you're a bank or a corporation who have circuitous laws to reduce the tax burden so they aren't completely bereft of industry with low skilled workers?

2022-05-24 3:10:03 PM
What does that even mean?

2022-05-24 3:12:24 PM
How about because, for all their shortcomings--and there are several--most Democrats don't believe in enslaving, cannibalizing, and exploiting the lower classes? Because that's all red-state politics are designed to do. Most blue states just end up passing laws that are at least somewhat palatable to Republicans, just so they can get marginal relief to people who are actually struggling. They end up compromising with themselves because they know that ideological policies have no chance of passing in most states. Whereas Republicans have concentrated on driving opposition out of state politics, then passing the most partisan versions of any law they can think of. It's like a competition. Fark the red states.

Although it has to stop in some ways... not us following our own rule but us CODDLING red states. No more. Cut off the free blue state money. The House has the power of the purse. They decide to vote against something? No, your protest vote means NO money. Oh and Texass hate teh ebil big gubbermint so much? Strip all government facilities and military bases. Move them to states that like the federal government. I'm sure Texass won't mind losing the IRS / NASA / Fort Bliss (and more) to other states that don't hate the federal government.

Speaking of which, move NASA out of Florida as well.

Red states get to play Calvinball

Leave the cold blood and corpses of your enemies in your wake.

DoBeDoBeDo: Probably because of that pesky Constitution that Red States claim is so important to them yet they seem to violate every chance they can get?

Basically. What people tend to overlook when they complain that Republicans don't follow rules is that the rules are there to have a functional government. If Democrats also decided not to play by the rules that's instantly the end of America. Democrats overall want America to continue to be a functional country. Republicans want a Christian themed oligarchy.

Now you want Civil War.  When you know your side is going to lose power in less than 6 months.  The bulk of the democrat war chest is going to be spent fighting for Roe in almost every state.  And yes, we are going to bring it up in every state, just to make you spend money to defend it.

Democrats would appoint a qualified judge who believes in the law. Republicans would appoint an unqualified partisan hack.

The Democratic judge would upheld the law, even at the expense of his own party. The Republican judge would uphold his own paprty, at the expense of the law.

The sad thing is there are a rising number of calls for Democrats to apppoint their own hacks, in order to score political wins, instead of upholding respect for the law as a principle.

There are no rules. There are restrictions for Democrats. To call em rules would imply that they apply to everyone equally.

If only democrats had been in charge of the federal government the last 2 years , they could've passed some law about redistricting.

I'm sure they wouldn't have just wasted everybody's time investigating Trump.  Again.

Yup. Despite his and others' objections to desegregation, civil rights, allowing women to see her doctor, etc, they're still going to happen. Hopefully, anyway.

I'm guessing because Democrats care more about appearing to be ethical than they care about winning elections.

btw, congrats on the rally on the ruble, progs.  You can now go from store brand ramen to Maruchan.

Disarray?  The only reason they seem that way is because they aren't a party so much as a coalition of several parties having to run and govern against a party of fascists and theocrats united in their goal of taking the country back to 1792.

Nope, I don't want Nazism.  I want to return things to the better.  Biden administration = Highest fuel prices ever, highest food prices ever, Baby food shortage

I would argue that circumventing rules and laws to prevent fascists from gaining power is ethical.

Democrats aren't ethical--they're legalist.

Because subby is a purposely misleading POS...
FTFA:
And so Republicans, yes, they've gotten their judges in their states to be more on board with aggressive plans. Whereas Democratic judges we've seen in Maryland and New York are trying to adhere to the letter of the law. And what that means overall is an imbalanced House map.

REPUBLICAN JUDGES BREAK THE LAW ON BEHALF OF THEIR POLITICS, COCKBREATH.

I can't tell you how much I love the "well you claim to be progressive but you don't support the shiatty centrist do-nothing Biden Presidency so therefore you, sir, are clearly a FAKE PROGRESSIVE" argument that we've seen for a good 5 years now.

Because progressives must swear fealty to Biden and his dead-enders otherwise they are not only NOT progressives but they are trying to TRICK people into supporting progressive policies that help as many people as possible.

Love it, keep it coming.

This is how muslim conservatives in the middle east get people used to living in shiat conditions: convince their people that it's OK to live in shiat conditions if it means political daddy stays in charge.  px is the non-union American equivalent.
