You have to really like The Band to spend $700 per night to stay in some creepy B and B

"[It's] an incredible house that you can still feel, hear and even smell the ghostly musical notes that continue to linger within its walls," wrote one guest on Vrbo in April."

Apparently you get free drugs.

blacknite: Bob Dylan != The Band

Wow what a dumb comment.

I wish that they had been better -- more prolific -- song writers. Their best was very good, but there just wasn't much of it.

And here's an odd, wholly tangential, thing about them that has always bothered me. Garth Hudson was widely considered to be one of rock's virtuosos. But except for 1 or 2 showpieces, he was always mixed so far down that you need bat ears to even detect his playing.

We've got a friend who owns a very similar house -- to return to the topic at hand. I wouldn't pay her $600/night to rent her house. Being star-struck often is an unfortunate confession that you have too much money.

To be fair, while Dylan and the Band collaborated at the house in question on the Band's first album, of which many of the songs and cover art was a creation of Dylan, the song quoted by subby is credited to Robbie Robertson.

These days Garth's in a nursing home and his wife Maud passed away fairly recently. He can still play piano, last I heard.

I'm gonna go be sad now.

well, your comment was less informed than mine was.  bob dylan certainly does not equal the band, nor did he write the quoted lyrics.  but hey, your opinion is yours.
