I've searched and all I can find out is that this photo was taken in a "wildlife sanctuary" in South Africa with no name given. I guess you could call a zoo with tame cats a sanctuary.

If he was out hidden in the bush to photograph nature in the raw then who took the photos of him?

This was more than n initial chance encounter.
