Someone help me out. Who's house was Howard in last week, and was that important?

50/50 Howard dies from a heart attack from the drug they're going to use on him, with a small chance that it's due to Howard actually secretly already being on drugs the whole time.

He was looking for the ricin cigarette in Hank's bathroom.

If you're talking about the beginning of the episode, that was his house. It was implied a few episodes ago his marriage is on the rocks. So they're in the separate bedroom phase.

I don't see anyone (main characters, at least) dying in this episode. But a cliffhanger of Kim getting caught red-handed wouldn't surprise me. Especially with Jimmy's "you don't need to be there" speech, and the fact that he was willing to call it off. Kim is going down.

I could see Howard dying this episode, leading to the the back half of the season being the fallout, as well as finishing up the Lalo/Gus story.

Ok. So nothing majorly important it seems.

July 11

Someone's definitely dying tonight. The writers wouldn't title it "Plan and Execution" with the double-meaning being unintentional.

Likelihood to be "executed," from most likely to least:

1) Caspar
2) Howard
3) Cheryl
4) Cliff
5) Kim
6) Lalo

More than one is possible.

BKITU: 4) Cliff

I've always wanted to see Ed Begley Jr. go out in a hail of gunfire, and not because of Victor Ehrlich.

I feel like Kim/Lalo are safe until at least the penultimate episode of the series.

Lalo is probably toast because there's no way he just goes away quietly and leaves Gus alone for the duration of Breaking Bad. Kim still has good odds to show up at the Cinnabon, I think.

I am going with my theory.  Marriage failing, business hurt by Jimmy's scheme, Howard kills himself.  I am going to add to it that Kim is asked to speak at his funeral and then loses it.

2022-05-23 8:34:03 PM
Waiting until 8:15 to start watching because I don't trust AMC and their judicious use of ads.

My predictions: Kim goes to jail, Lalo makes his way back to the US, and Howard suffers a heart attack.

Lalo has to become connected with Howard. My guess is Lalo kills him. They haven't been doing two completely separate story line for five seasons for nothing.

Kim has to die at some point. Question is though, when is Saul's second marriage revealed?

I don't think Kim dies.  She's the one that finds the vacuum cleaner card.

Furthermore I am convinced Jimmy buys the little black book that makes Saul complete.

I don't know if Howard and Lalo's paths need to cross. If Howard dies, and Kim is out of the picture for whatever reason, that would represent the final death of Jimmy McGill. The drug plot is the life of Saul, bringing us to Breaking Bad.

If Kim shows up at the Cinnabon, Jimmy could be reborn.

I have a feeling that we're very close to a Breaking Bad/BCS timeline. I may have missed some content earlier this season that put us in the exact same time but Saul made reference to Lalo still being alive. Lalo either kills Kim, then gets taken out by Gus or Something happens and the twins kill their cousin.

We already saw it in his desk in the flashforward from the premiere.

My prediction is that Kim gets into trouble and disappears with  the vacuum treatment, possibly faking her death. Saul never mentions her again in BB either to keep her safe and let any heat from her trouble lie - or perhaps he really doesn't know where she went.

But she's from Nebraska, & perhaps Saul meets her again there in his own exile after it's all over.

Meaning someone actually gets a happy ending the both BCS & BB.

Am I alone in thinking this half-season has been a disappointment so far? All those signature Vince Gilligan camera angles, panoramas and general ambient effects have been over the top and in your face (we get it, everyone's sitting around in the dark, there's a grotesque inflatable Statue of Liberty in front of an old sign going bzzzzt, etc.). Gus Fring has been talking like a comic book villain (you can see the balloon quote "Lalo lives!"). The plot to get Howard has been clownish and the boxing scene was probably the dumbest thing the show has ever done. I liked the Nacho plot so of course that was the one they cut off early. I'm intrigued by Lalo's adventures in Germany, though.

I've never been one of those people who say this show is actually better than Breaking Bad, and frankly I don't think it's close. It had greatness bestowed upon it from Day One but has been merely good, and uneven. Like the #1 overall draft pick that isn't exactly a bust but leaves you thinking he could have been better. This is the Jadeveon Clowney of TV shows.
