Dang, and I was going to go with: 'Sir, this is an Arb....err McDonalds?'

I'd give the burger a shot. Unlike most of the rest of the planet, I actually enjoy some of their food.

I like a few of their wraps and sandwiches, but anything involving their alleged roast beef is right out. But curly fries and horsey sauce all day.

Also, that burger has the frozen puck fake "this is totally a handmade patty, see, you can tell because it's not uniformly circular!" Look to it. I'd try it though

I'm with you on the roast beef part. Wraps, and other meat sanmmies are my go-to. They did something to the chicken bacon and ranch sandwich that it now tastes different, tho *shrug* that was my favourite.

...and yes, that burger does look like your standard fast food patty. Now that I think about it, I bet they source their frozen beef from the same supplier as BWW (as Arby's now owns them), and man, their burgers are gross. We tried BWW's ghost kitchen, 'Wild Burger' during the pandemic and never again.

Sure, I'd go for an Arby-burger with Horsey sauce.

How are they going to cook a burger?  Do they have grills?  I thought they just had microwave ovens and deep fat fryers.

There are more than 3000 locations so a lot of people like Arby's. Some food snobs like to talk shiat about Arby's as if those of us that do enjoy it just aren't aware it isn't a high class establishment.

I agree and I think it's ironic that some many people avoid the roast beef from a place that seems to focus on it.
I'll admit to being disappointed when they dropped their Italian sub, but pleasantly surprised by their Greek gyro.

Their mozzarella sticks suck

Their bacon is always floppy and sad unlike Wendy's who really upped their game on bacon.

I'll fight anyone over if their curly fries are not the best fries in fast food.

Arby's I hit when I need 3k calories for 10 dollars asap.

They're very good at racking up calories on the cheap.

Like the best. But I'll mow down a beef and cheddar with the best of em. And their 3 pepper sauce made a pretty damn good sodium laddened dipping sauce for just about everything.

I'd try a 50/50 waygu burger from them. I mean we all know it's some bastard cattle from the Midwest. But I'd try it.

The sous vide bs is over the top though it's a farking burger. And adding a meat with supposedly better marbling should be "slap that shiat on the flat iron"

I like a decent amount of what they serve.  Great curly fries.  The Roast Beef won't beat real fresh roast beef but isn't horrible (back when Roy Rogers was around theirs was better).  Their Gyros are surprisingly good.

Maybe it's scarcity making me like it more.  Every Arby's in my immediate area has been closed for years.  So I only see it when I travel about an hour or so.  I tend to get it on the way home from visiting a certain relative.

Why in the hell would you take 'premium' meat, premium for its fat content, and grind it? That said the turkey gyro is my lunch any day.

b0rg9: I still want to try their fish sammich.

I think the fish sandwich is only available during Lent. I wanted to try theIr King's Hawaiian fish sandwich this last Lent. I ordered it at the drive-thru and when I got to the window they told me that they were out of the King's Hawaiian rolls, and would a plain bun be okay. I asked what else the difference between the King's Hawaiian fish sandwich and the regular sandwich, and I got a surly "I don't know, I don't make the food." I took the sandwich on the regular bun and it was just okay. Wendy's fish sandwich is still my favorite.

Oh I went for it. It was an option and I'm tired. Oh it was there.

It tastes like a whopper with more mayo. That's it. I've had a waygu burger. No it tastes like a whopper with more mayo.

You will not be communing with the cow that died for that meat.

The chicken sammich is still oddly better.

Gee, I wonder why. Could he have taken any worse pictures?

Seriously, is your phone (Axeofjudgement) from 20 years ago or just a crappy filter effect to make it look worse? Obviously the sandwich got jostled around with half sliding off the bun, instead of putting it back the way it was you rag on it.

Wait, let me clarify. I mean typical American stuff that isn't made for quality, but quantity. I was really disappointed when I looked this up once. Maybe it's better than other American beef, but seems like calling it Wagyu is a marketing gimmick.
I guess it's obvious that Arby's wouldn't be using fancy meat, but I wanted to complain about this.

I get not appreciating ground meat as a quality proposition, but ground turkey?

How masochistic are you? Their regular gyro meat is hardly above Ol' Roy, and I'm not even a food snob.

I'll try one if the local Arby's have it.

I get the off-menu "Ultimate BLT" occasionally, but the last time I did I got the BLT, but it had an added wad of what I think was turkey and a slice of cheese. A weird sandwich.

it's... adequate. absolutely nothing like Popeyes' delicious one, much more similar to Checkers' mediocre offering.

also, why TF is the first thing shown FTFA those bizarre meat-carrots of theirs???

I really love the gyro flavored one, and the roast beef one is great also.  The wrap/gyro part is thick and the whole thing fills you up.  Seems like a great value to me.

Here is what the one I got today looked like. It wasn't commercial ready but just fine for fast food.

As for tasting like a Whopper what BK do you go to? This thing was good. I can enjoy a Whopper, not knocking them but this is nothing like one except for being a burger.

The missus went to UW and raves about the gyro and falafel carts on State St. She says the 'lamb' gyro at Arby's is pretty close. I'm not proud to admit it, but their tzatziki is the best I've had.

They discontinued their potato cakes. I was crushed.

French fries? Everyone does fries. Potato cakes were something unique.

I still love their roast beef sandwiches with Arby's sauce though. My go to if I need to get fast food for whatever reason.

Don't care for their curly fries. One or two are good, but they're just kinda overly salty.
