I bought a bitcoin. Am I a billionaire yet?

Wait, TFA didn't say if 573 people became billionaires BECAUSE of the pandemic, or IN SPITE of the pandemic.

99% of the money went to preserving business and investments over people. Nobody should be surprised.

If something was going to happen through policy, it would have happened by now. Instead, policy is being used to increase the problem.  At this point it will come down to people reaching their limit of subjugation and increasing voter turnout where turnout can make a difference (and in favor of politicians that oppose inequality) or revolution in nations where people have voted themselves out of having any voice.  Unfortunately, people have a high limit of subjugation, so it will probably be later, rather than sooner and, no doubt, the cycle of apathy, ignorance, and subjugation will start anew.

Of course, some of those billionaires are losing their shirts right now with the crypto scam collapsing. Likely still enough to retire on, but that money is just gone, and could have gone to useful things like wages and goods and services.

And crypto erased 10 times that in a day.

Hahaa. Actually I have this odd luck. I always find phones left on park benchs. I haven't bought a cell in about 10 years?

No it's not gone, it changes form, plenty got real currency looted out of this BS that goes to wages and goods and hookers and Instagram idiots and the next scam.

Transferred. Not erased.

Because the world was forced to go digital almost overnight, and stay that way for going on two and a half years now. Which meant that just about anything in the the tech sector had an opportunity to take off, be bought up for >$1B by a bigger company, etc. Also anybody making money in commodities, or supply chains, or logistics...

What happens when you give a  person money?  Either she saves it or he spends it.  He might burn it out of out spite but basically all of that goes---necessarily---to business.  There is no other way.

Only if you can get them out of their bunkers first.
