Kind of a stupid thing to steal, unless you just wanted to joyride.  Not like you can sell it.

But that's not what happened here.  The valet gave the keys to the thief.

Usually they don't want to touch a car like that and let the driver park it themselves.

Australia must not have as many lawyers willing to sue anything-anytime-anywhere for a percentage of a dollar as the US.

In other news, if you take a rental out joyriding and damage it, just take it to a shady valet service.  Let them be the fall guys.

Indeed, judges down under tend to throw frivolous lawsuits out reflexively.

To be fair, rich people automatically assume anyone they don't actually know is subservient and should therefore park their cars for them.

It's been a few years since Packer was forced to leave Crown due to being an utterly shady twat, but the owner should sue him anyway just on general principle.

m;The thing that surprised me, it looks like the casino is taking some responsibility and is liable. I would have thought they would have pulled out oh you want the 'LLC  Joes car parking and doughnuts.'

Man they run things quite differently overseas.

I made a kit car when I was 20 it was hard to get in and out at that age. The windshield at such a slant.
But as it was an old VW I mounted a aluminum 215 buick wild cat and if it hit a metal plate covering a large pot hole it would launch like front tires in the air stuff. After I built it I doubt I had 500 miles before my bride told me to sell it now or it disappears tonight.

Cool car online .... $2k for complete kit. Far from perfect but a great car to learn on.

"Johnny Nahlous" sounds like a villain in a Mystery Men sequel.

His superpower is an uncanny ability to attract women with fake tans and duck lips.

Makes sense...

Rent a car that costs thousands to go to a casino to lose thousands more.

He seems very intelligent.

Same thing at the Mercedes dealership repair.  You have to show ID to get back into your car.  If they create a rule, there's a reason.

Unless he has a good union. (Not complaining about unions, they are important for a distribution of power among the powerful)
In Australia, unions don't have such a bad name because big business doesn't control the conversation as much as in my friends in the good ol' US :)

Can you explain how a Union would be in the right protecting an employee who showcased textbook negligence at a minimum from being removed from employment?

for the same reason that management protects their epic morons, except management has a much higher rate of morons and is infinitely more destructive.

you want unions to stop protecting those they're tasked with protecting? prioritize on the elephant wrecking the room, not the pesky mouse in the corner.
