Funny, but COVID is still evolving and spreading. The "after" state either means permanent changes to our society (like how we dealt with cholera etc. by inventing water treatment and sewage systems for our cities) or it means accepting a much higher ongoing rate of death and long-term disability in a world where healthcare systems were already struggling. There is no moment when like a miracle it goes away and things are as they were before.

PunGent: There's no law that says we can't have a serious global infection in addition to Covid...but this ain't it.

This is the january or febuary of covid for monkey pox.

There will be calls by the political elites for us to go to monkeytown and spend money.
There will be hug a monkey memes.

People will say that monkeypox is under control and to not panic.  It doesnt spread easy and the areas that have it are under quarantine.

No we absolutely will not shut down travel to and from monkypox country.  The WHO says the monkeys are the most transparent government ever.

Masks dont work.  They make things worse

Mask work but only n9500, and ONLY if you have 3 years of training and 5 years monkeypox experience.  Cloth masks make things worse. An untrained person actually makes an n9500 mask into a face mounted virus gun that shoots viruses up to 3 miles down range with the accuracy of a gold medal sniper.

Masks, even cloth ones actually make things better.

Wear 2 masks.

Mask are not needed by the elites.  Unless a camera is pointed at them.

The monkeypox vaccine is bleach.

The monkeypox vaccine is the only thing that will protect you.  But only elites can have it.

The monkeypox vaccine is the most tested drug ever and has no major side effects.

Dont take one of the vaccines, it has some potential side effects.

Stay inside to not be exposed to monkeypox.

Outdoor protesting actually reduced monkeypox exposure.

No, going outside doesnt help.  Even if you are isolated.  Only protesting decreases monkeypox transmission.

Everybody go back to work.  The elites need you to grind resources.  Monkeypox is endemic and we just need to learn to live with it.

What's happened is people haven't been given the smallpox vax since, well, it's not really as NECESSARY anymore (and stopped being given in the us in 1980), which also immunized people against monkeypox.

There was a major outbreak in the Midwest US in 2003.

There are several farkers that seem to be very emotionally invested in it spreading like COVID.  When I posted a link to the CDC that said monkeypox won't spread nearly as easily they told me that the CDC is probably lying to us like they did at the beginning of COVID.  Completely ignoring the fact that we have decades of data on monkeypox and when the CDC said COVID wasn't airborne it had only been in human circulation for a few months and they didn't have a lot of data on it yet.

If they didnt have the data, why didnt they say "we dont know"?  They were pretty certain is was spread on surfaces.  Every surface washed down with alcohol.  They were also 100% certain cloth masks didnt work, and made it worse.  Then we found out they knowingly lied so people wouldnt do a run on n95 masks.

So wich is it?  They just didnt know?  Or they lied?

Hell, the elites were telling us the trump vaccine was just bleach until november 2.  And the blue states were all going to have independent safety commissions.  Then as soon as Biden won, the vaccine was safe.  It wasnt just horse paste and bleach and russian hooker piss mixed up in trumps basement.

Did they literally not trust the vaccine until after the election, or was the whole farking thing politics?

Either way, can any of us, maga or true blue democrat, trust the CDC?  Can we trust our leaders? Who should we trust?  Should we trust the WHO that said china was the most transparent ever?

Have the government gitmo some liars and then we can start down the path of trust.  Until then, all we can assume is that the elites are out for their own profit.

Technically, covid isn't airborne - it aerosolizes.

When the technical report came out that covid wasn't airborne, the media ran with it - not understanding the difference, which led to a lot of confusion.

But at this point, if you aren't a promiscuous gay man under 40 and don't have direct, intimate contact with gay men under 40, your odds of getting monkeypox in this particular outbreak is pretty much zero.

Look up the definition of the words "lying" and "incorrect", recognize the difference, and answer your own questions.  They gave us advice based on the data they had at the time.  The data was lacking and as a result, they were wrong in the advice they gave us.  That sucks, but it doesn't mean there was any intent to provide incorrect advice.  Put away your torches and pitchforks until you actually have something.  Because you don't.

I wouldn't say "emotionally invested", but rather a recognition that it is spreading beyond it's normal capability.  That suggests we might be facing a more transmissible variant, not standard monkeypox.

Vice president harris sowed doubt on the "trump vaccine" and likened it to bleach.  They didnt trust the trump vaccine rollouts.  Until they won the election.  And all of a sudden it was verboten to distrust the vaccine.

They either didnt trust the vaccine before the election, or they lied.  After the election did they special super secret info nobody else got that would change their trust level?  Or did they win and need to switch tactics.

If there was super secret info, that none of us know, should we trust the CDC?  If there wasnt super secret info, but The Narrative changed, should we trust the CDC?

Somebody is lying.  Somebody is profiting off lies.  Somebody, maybe even the great maga king himself, needs to be in gitmo.  And the government needs to make a blood oath to never lie again, and all government liars will be made to suicide.  Yes, there will be a great blood bath of suicide.  And it will be glorious.
