(SportsNaut)   New England Patriots are concerned about the direction of the offensive coaching staff. Mainly that they don't have a direction   (sportsnaut.com) divider line

The Patriots lost McDaniels when he went to Denver. There wasn't a problem.

These idiots need a coach to tell them they should be heading towards the end zone?

As a Patriots fan I am very concerned. The Patriots haven't won a game in months! Preposterous!

I am less worried about the coaching staff. I mean, Bellichick can handle it... I'm much more worried about the personnel on the field

Belichick keeping plans to himself.

Wow. So out of character for him.

//we're on to the preseason

Publikwerks: Bellichick can handle it

Keep in mind he's 70 now, the amount he can handle is diminishing, not increasing.

So, they want to make their coaching staff more offensive?  Or less offensive?

This has been a feast for the brainless sports talk radio crowd.  It all comes down to "The Patriots have a bunch of coaches, and won't share the organizational chart of those coaches with the public!"

Bill shares nothing he's not legally obligated to share.  Most fans have figured this out, but the sports radio guys need some kind of hook, so they'll just spout this nonsense to wind up the more hysterical New England fans.

I was listening to ESPN'S Get Up this morning and the way the guy was going on and on about this, you'd think he was talking about a national emergency.

A) I could be wrong, but I don't think McDaniels took many assistants with when we went to Denver.

B) They had Tom Brady, who is basically an offensive system unto himself.

I'm not as worried about the perceived, "lack of a plan" as much as who is involved in that plan.

Judge and Patricia suck.

I'm not worried.  I wouldn't want them as head coaches, but they can contribute to specific things when supervised.

I might be a little worried for Lil Mac getting hurt this season, he showed up at camp down on weight and he wasn't a big guy to begin with. He's probably hovering around the 195-205 range at 6'3".

Sure he's in better 'shape' overall, but he's gonna get killed unless he puts like 20lbs back on.

Huh, I hadn't noticed that.  I remember Brady trying out steroids, and getting buff for a season or two, then he skinnied right up.  Hopefully Mac keeps working on his in pocket footwork like Brady did, to avoid the biggest hits head on.
