Ugh. The CW network.  Good luck.

/It should just be on HBOMax.

As I work my way through it (the viewing order says I'm in season 4 and there's a movie I need to watch), it's an easy reboot.

And I think will work well as 10 episodes a season. If you cut out a lot of the stuff that fans worship at

It ended when it was supposed to last time. The problem was the last season wasn't guaranteed and the fourth had to be adjusted to ensure we actually got a conclusion at all.

Maybe he'll actually get to use the original story-line instead of having to introduce Sheridan. Also, maybe they can avoid later on all of the actors dying relatively young.

As a side note, my wife recently had a student in her class/lab named Delenn.

CW?

While it could be worse (a low rent basic cable network or something) it could also be much better.

I wonder if they go with the original plan for the show rather than the rejiggered one they needed when their original protagonist's actor sucked.

CW?!?  So... they're going to have even worse sfx than the original?  Will it be 8-bit, or will they spring for 16-bit?

How is GFR still not blacklisted?

JMS said later that O'Hare leaving was a blessing in disguise.  Having one guy do everything that Sinclair and Sheridan did would have strained credulity too much.

You're right about everyone dying young, and maybe this time around there won't be a bunch of rage-quitting telepaths.

Great.  So it'll be a lot of young people keeping pointless secrets from their besties while gossiping in dark hallways away from the group.

CW is poison to anything other than teen melodrama.

Delen is a Dutch word and supposedly also a Cornish name.

Look, I want a B5 revival as much as anyone.

The head of the CW doesn't exactly have an opinion that matters, here.

It's the head of Time/Warner/Discovery+++++++++++++++ that's dismantling the CW and moving the good stuff to HBOMax.

So, I'm skeptical that this is going to be on the CW when ready. Chances are there won't be a CW by then.

You folks really want a Babylon 5 remake after what happened to Star Trek and Star Wars? I don't think you understand what could happen to this series if it does happen. Sheridan could end up looking like someone's mod'd character from Skyrim or Fallout while you are blinded by lens flair.

I asked them. They were named from Babylon 5.

JMS is involved in this one, and he's old and cranky enough by now to get things done his way.

And it sounds like he's honed his writing craft in the last 30 years, so he won't turn Lyta evil by having the heroes screw her over with petty bureaucratic nonsense.

I just hope he has a solid enough contract that CW can't boot him off the show a season or two in and bring in someone to "fix" a show that isn't appealing to their typical audience.

Look, it won't matter whether you have 23 pieces of lens flair or not, if you can't see them due to lens flare.

One of my buddies at work is quite proud of the fact that he and his wife agreed on Delenn as their daughter's middle name. The daughter is about 20 now and from the few times I've met her seems to be extremely smart, kind and living up to the best qualities of her namesake.

Just, ummm, just don't piss her off or lead her country into civil war or fail to live up to your prophetic obligations.

Maybe the Minbari are Cornish?
