Fark you Netflix, if I pay to stream to 4 devices, it doesn't farking matter where they are located.  If you don't want people to share passwords don't offer them an option to pay more for multiple streams.  If you want to start charging for password sharing though please do, I'll be glad to cancel my account and just share with my sister who also doesn't use all the 4 device streams she pays for.

Netflix is still easily #1 in subscribers with over 200 million. Losing 200,000 is 0.1% of its base. They still have 50% more than Disney+ around 140 million (Amazon Prime is technically 2nd but who knows how many actually watch)

I'm annoyed with Netflix for something that is entirely my fault.

It turns out that I had two subscriptions, when I thought I only had one. I cancelled the only subscription I assumed I had two months ago, and then was baffled as to why Netflix kept charging me for an account.

I hate Netflix. But it's still entirely my fault.

FB bork their "active" user numbers to boost their bottom line every quarter, so Netflix should be able to as well.

If you honestly believe they have over 2.5bln, active members, when there are only 4.5bln people in the world who have access to the internet...I have some beachfront property in Colorado to sell you.

The Netflix library is overwhelmingly large.   Navigation could really be improved.  It's sometimes almost impossible to get back to the video you were just watching.  Lots of improvement is possible, but first they need to see these as problems -- good problems -- but still problems.

There is no competition, just too many choices -- whether inside Netflix or in combo with all the other streamers.  There aren't enough hours in the day or evening to watch everything.

Shorten hours to 40 minutes would help.  Your wife tells me she'd like that love making to last 50% longer.

Interesting comment..

My question is how many streams are actually 4k? - I haven't looked recently, but last I checked getting an "actual" 4k stream was practically impossible

My experience with receiving 4k meant that the source material had to be shot in  4k, the providing server needed proper bandwidth to deliver it - the receiver needed proper bandwidth and you really couldn't loose much bandwidth in the hop - even when something says 4k, that's not what you end up watching

I've seen like 2560, and alot of 1080 - but almost nothing was actually coming through at 3840, it wasn't even worth it, I gave up trying to get it, I have a couple of great 1080 TV's that I was going to replace but decided it was a waste because my 4k setups weren't getting them anyway

Have things changed?, Is there really 4k out there now worth trying? Because I'm still under the assumption that it wasn't worth it

In my experience with Netflix, 4k streaming is awful. It's not really 4k, and when I compare it to an actual blu-ray of the same content it's a night and day difference.

Possibly it's my ISP or something in the middle, but meh.

Not just poor people, a lot of people consider devices interchangable. They see value in having an X but as long as their X works they aren't going to replace it.

I've never once cared about the advances made in toilet technology. Unless it's broken, I'm keeping it. Same with my microwave, garage door opener, washing machine, all of my tools.

My parents would include things like 'a phone' and 'television' in those lists.

And old TVs seem to last a long time.

To add to your point... does 4k even matter? A Planet Earth documentary its nice but basically anything else I don't care. Comedies, in particular. It's not like they're funnier in 4k.

I always Google 'best things to watch on...' lists and add a bunch to my watch lists in one sitting, usually on my laptop where it's easier.

Then when it's time to watch something I don't scroll endlessly. We start by deciding genre and a rewatch or something new.

However projections were originally for a couple million new subscribers, which they still wouldn't have come close to even if they didn't shut of Russia.

Next quarter's projections are in the multi million user loss range.

I know projections can be kind of wonky, but unless they are way off, this isn't just about a small loss compounded by Russia's numbers.

Netflix has absolute shiat for their movie selection. I go weeks without even checking to see what's on there. HBO and Starz are far better. 5 titles in, and it's all Bollywood or similar-name-movie-ripoffs.
