If only the coach could have some effect on what the players do

Yes and also:
Doncic, as he did after a couple of losses to the Phoenix Suns in the previous series, thought the Mavs made a mistake by not driving more often.

If only the point guard could have some effect on what the players do.

They're the MAVERICKS.
What'd anyone expect?

Especially as basketball is the only sport that has a three-point shot.

I mean, you made 47% of your threes (rounded)

You made 47% of your FGs (rounded).

The problem was probably more the "giving up 56%/50% from 3" splits.

/although admittedly, bricking threes often results in better opportunities going the other way

I was kinda rooting for Dallas simply because I wanted to watch a competitive series. But the way they bellied up in the third/fourth quarter, I've resigned myself to the Warriors sweeping the series.

I mean, I agree, but I also felt like the Suns were gonna sweep Dallas after two games, too.

This happened in the Phoenix series. Dallas is much, much better at home.

Warriors had 62 points in the paint. Mavs had 30. Hard to believe a small jump shooting team could dominate in the paint.

They guy you essentially called a nobody earlier for playing all 82 games, Kevon Looney, was the MVP of this game and game one. Career high in points last night.

That's not what we do. We'll take a night off, have a come-to-Jesus moment, then take things seriously again.
