They have a battalion of roos ready to move in when the Emu squad locates it. A squadron of drop bears is on standby for air support

How about leave him the fark alone, and respect that he's earned his farking right to live.

Sure, feral animal control has its place, blah blah blah. But if you aren't gonna eat him, and you aren't gonna eat what he eats, just give this little dude a pass ffs.

Soon the fox will learn from the emus and they will rule the country together.

We all love an underdog story, the tale of the outmanned and outgunned sticking it to the more powerful. But when you're trying to reestablish near extinct populations of animals on a wildlife reserve even a lone fox can cause you havoc. And the sad fact of the matter is that foxes in Australia are an invasive species that run roughshod over the native ecosystem. Humans are to blame, of course, and so we've got to be the ones to try and fix it regardless of how much we hear stories like this one.

This fox is in a wildlife sanctuary specifically designed for endangered species. The endangered species have a right to exist, but they can't when there is a fox in their home. If this fox were anywhere else there would not be this much effort put in to remove it. Think of him as being like a Russian soldier in a Ukrainian home raping the children of the family that lives there. Except the fox would just eat the children, only humans apparently are depraved enough to rape children.

Long article, but a good read.

I like foxes, but the ones in in this wildlife preserve are pushing endangered species.  When the article mentioned little penguins, I was officially "Aw hell no".

I (probably) have foxes living under the shed in my back yard.  I've seen their pups, once.  Never have seen the parents, though they had to have moved in over the winter.

If a fox wants to stay hid, it'll stay hid.

What did the fox have to say about this?

Tim Flannery seems like a bit of a git. In addition to his "no redeeming features" comment there was this gem:

Tim Flannery concurs. "Rambo has plenty of food, lots of places to hide and no competition from other predators. He's not smarter than his human hunters but he seems better evolved than the average fox."

I think that the evidence would show that he is plenty smarter than the people hunting him Tim.

No Biggy. I don't mind if someone has a different opinion as long as they keep it polite and Pithy.
