Ever notice that Rand Paul likes to talk about stuff he's against, but seems awful mum about how to fix pretty much anything? I mean, besides abolishing something that he doesn't like.

I'm beginning to think that he just might be a contrarian masquerading as a Libertarian...

I would expect a matter antimatter like annihilation if Rand Paul encountered common sense.

That's one distinct possibility. Another is that he's just a gaping asshole.

/Then again, those aren't mutually exclusive

"ok let's use it to make baby formula for American infants"

"no I'm against that too"

Opposing big government spending is not isolationism, it's common sense. Our country faces an inflation crisis and adding more debt now is a mistake

I agree. Johnny, let's roll the clip of Paul opposing Trump tax cuts:

All RP wanted was for there to be an accountant attached to the 40B, that's it.  This should have been a no brainer but would be asking too much for our congress critters.

I dunno, maybe Rand Paul would recognize common sense if it broke his ribs. There's only one way to find out.

Subby: Rand Paul wouldn't recognize Common Sense if it launched itself across his riding lawn mower and tackled him breaking several ribs.

I am unconvinced.  We should institute a battery of tests to verify this is the case.  Now all we need to do is to get Mike Tyson to change his name to Common Sense.

Opposing big government spending is not isolationism, it's common sense. Our country faces an inflation crisis and adding more debt now is a mistake," Paul said in a statement.

Hey Rand, how did you vote when it came to the Trump tax cuts for the wealthy that added billions to our deficit? Oh you voted for it? Go fsck yourself, asshole.

It's the same thing - libertarians literally want a do-nothing government - submit to your corporate overlords

Which is why I don't think either Paul really are lolbertarians.

They want the Confederacy, basically.  Un-democratic concentrated power.

That is true of every republican I have met. Simple answers that mean nothing or Democrats bad/wrong.  Republicans do not govern they want to rule for themselves and their friends.

It's a fair point. At this point, getting called out or knocked out in public is kind of his thing, and I don't think it's about the hunting anymore...

It added billions to our deficit. Over time it will add trillions to our debt. When criticizing GoP policies I feel it is best to be precise otherwise the argument is easier for disingenuous people on the right to attack.

Not that you're not right.

Rand Paul thread so I have to reiterate my theory Rand Paul believes the only government expenditure should be his salary. He's opposed to all other spending.

What is wrong with having some over site on how the money is spent? Seems to me that region was described as a sink hole for money and corruption for sometime now, I'm not against aiding them now, other wise we'll end up there later, but we do have a lot of things to do around here also.
