FTA: The car is expected to sell for between $1.4 million and $1.8 million, according to the auction company Broad Arrow Group.

That seems a little low given how wild the collectible car market is right now.

It's one of the most beautiful cars ever made - but like all supermodels that beauty requires high HIGH maintenance.
Good luck to it & the buyer's mechanic.

Brits design some gorgeous cars...now if they could just keep 'em running. The Spitfire and TR-6 epitomize the term "sports car" but I had friends who told me the cars spent more time in the shop then in their garages. Of course, the Italians were no better (I'm lookin' at you, Fiat Spider).

A' course, I have no idea how good British or Italian cars are now. Maybe they finally figured out how to keep them on the road for at least a week.

He only owned it for a couple of years and rarely drove it.

And they estimate that, "that" is enough to add a half million dollars to the sale price?

More evidence that the world is crazy.

Fiat says Sean Connery died; Alfa Romeo says Sean Connery didn't renew his lease, Land Rober would liek (sic) to hear from him and the US Postal Service says he's changed his name and moved to a South American nation with no extradition treaty.
