Takes a while to get to the good stuff but it's pretty funny.

Made it about a minute in.

Who the fark is that dipshiat and why should we care?

Not white-knighting Disney/Marvel, just predicting that his 'universe' is going to be as dry and boring as he is.

Anyone want to give a recap for those of us with more important things to do with our lives, like watching the grass grow?

So how is this different than Disney+?

Even if its a bargain bin, you're still raiding other people's creativity. How is that yours?
How does that make YOU creative. You're just another vulture picking at the bones of your betters.

I didn't click the link. Is this about the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen reboot?

A recap...

A scottish egyptian from spain teaches a  guy who can't die that he has to cut off heads to win some kind of tontine of magic power and this culminates in a sword fight with a viking x punk big bad, which is a shame because the actor imagined him as wearing a suit and a bowler cap, just a normal looking guy who is actually an immortal monster, and wouldn't that have been better.

Anyway that's highlander.  They never made any sequels.

Oh, did you mean this short? I dunno. Watch it later

It would've been fine if he took those characters and animated them or even acted them out in shiatty dollar store costumes, but some dude standing there and talking for 20 minutes about what he wants to do with  other peoples IP?!

That's an 'X' for me

Like Gilgamesh, Robin Hood, Jesus, Buddah, Allah, elves, faeries, and other stories before you, they never got their boxers in a bunch because someone told a story with something someone else came up with who is likely long dead, and has entertained 3 generations of humans.

More creative than biatching about it, at least.

Mostly less people saying they won't watch anymore but then continuing to watch so that they can make more content about how they don't like it.

Didn't watch, but have thought the same and, my dude, just make up your own characters using the established ones as templates. Save yourself the grief.

So you have no interest in my Matrix movie? I open up the Matrix universe to include several of Keanu Reeves roles are all one person.
Thus: John Wick, is Neo. Explaining the impossible fact the man doesn't die. Repeatedly.
Ted 'Theodore' Logan isn't time traveling that's actually a different version of the plugging in /out of the Matrix.
Johnny Mnemonic is a skin used by Neo during a different time of the Matrix.

John Constantine is merely how people see Neo when he exposes the Matrix.

Johnny Utah is who Neo was before getting into computers.
The roles of cops and of serial killer are Parallel universes of the Matrix universe.

I don't understand how he became an undercover FBI agent..

Because in college, he knew about the energy problems, and was working on a green energy project but the PI was killed and he and Rachel Weiss was chased by the government.  If the project had been successful, there would have been no need for The Matrix in the first place.

I usually hate stuff like this. But it was surprisingly creative and thoughtful. His forced laughing got on my nerves, but the moment Man Cat "returns" in one of the later films got a true guffaw out of me.

BBCU would actually work now that the MU has exhausted their fans. Think of the great lampooning potential afforded Blue Bolt and Spider Queen when referencing Tony Stark.

And I would totally watch Six Gun Gorilla.

"I'm too good to watch THOSE movies, but I'm hip enough to recognize their appeal and track the progress of these franchises, and I can combine the two into an ultimate hipster-nerd orgy of derision and obscure references that I can shower my disdain for the current culture in an idea that I will NEVER capitalize on."

The idea of using Public Domain heroes is actually solid. Of course, you could just use the inspiration of those pulpy sort of heroes and come up with entirely new and more thematically bound together teams, and compete directly with some of the properties that have gone the weird hero route, like Doom Patrol or even Legion, and play off subverting tropes and having a grand time with it. Seriously. There's a lot of room in the market for something with a breath of fresh air, that doesn't rely on established comics, or adaptions of alternative comics that flowered in the 80s and 90s. But the difficulty is that you have to make said content well, and I'm not sure that this cat is up for that. Even on a budget.

Guardians of Justice for example was pretty wild.

It took him over 2 minutes to describe what the Fark headline says in less than 20 words.  And it was annoying.  If it was interesting, good for him and anybody who put up with the attention-whore filler material.

That a different time line. And part of a paradox.   How do go and fix, if you succeed, how do you need to fix it? You never are motivated to change it because you went back and fixed it.
