The democrats are daring republicans to object to this and I like seeing it. For too long democrats have refused to bring up bills they know won't pass. Put republicans on record. Force them to vote against what the country needs.

The NRSC here in North Carolina is already running non stop ads against the dem for having the audacity to commute a death sentence to life imprisonment when she was a justice, screaming SHE CAN'T BE TRUSTED, while her opponent votes against a domestic terrorism bill in congress.

Manchin wont let gun control see the light of day.  Republican senators just have to sit back and laugh at the Left's ineptitude.

If nothing else it makes campaign ads easier.

"Senator Asswipe voted against protecting you and your family from domestic terrorism..."

If you're trying to unseat a Republican you can really mess with the voting base by running that ad with pictures of brown people in turbans showing in the background.

Problem is that the GOP is pro-terrorist.

It may have a greater effect if you list all the acts of domestic terrorism you've failed to take seriously.

Rand Paul is running against a black man in the Fall.  He's gotta appeal to his farkwad base, which is basically all of Kentucky except Louisville.

He's going to shoot this down, and whatever speech he gives is going to be full of dog whistles.

It's pretty obvious who he's talking about. You know, the people who occasionally protest about how much they don't like being murdered by cops who go unpunished?

Difficulty: At no point in living memory have the Republican's voting history seemed to hurt them in elections.

I mean it might be a chapter for the history books that children in other countries will read about the fall of the American Empire but it feels like that's about it.

I just find it ironic that the people who were whining about the Jan 6th protesters being painted with a big broad brush are also the ones who paint all BLM protesters with the same big broad brush.

The other ad.

"Senator Pedophile says there's hardy enough money to keep a domestic terrorist and his family alive, with enough fuel for a decent convoy or supplies for storming a capitol, on such a small allocation. How are hard working Republicans supposed to live on such small handouts."

what hate crime laws were not enough already?
Somehow having even more changers to bring against a FOOKING DEAD PERSON really helps out a lot don't it?

i mean I'm real sure the nutter gunners like this take real careful consideration of all the consequences of their actions and if only they knew there was a whole other crime out past the hate crime, that'd have prevented this.

Gun cotnrol laws, or this is theatricality pointless bullcarp that ain't gonna change chit for what happens to the next dead murdering public shooter.

no, the GQP and their media is playing up the "mass assassination attempt of republicans" that happened when Scalize was shot at the softball game. Shooters name escapes me.

Again, equating one event to balance out all the other events.

So you didn't bother to read TFA? Here, let me help you out:

Supporters of the House bill say it will fill the gaps in intelligence-sharing among the Justice Department, Department of Homeland Security and the FBI so that officials can better track and respond to the growing threat of white extremist terrorism.

Under current law, the three federal agencies already work to investigate, prevent and prosecute acts of domestic terrorism. But the bill would require each agency to open offices specifically dedicated to those tasks and create an interagency task force to combat the infiltration of white supremacy in the military.
