70 years old and still agog at the marketing huskers ability to take something useless and turn it into a high-margin fad. Wings are just chicken nuggets for adults, with bones and skin, mostly bones and skin in fact.

So are we going to see all those menu prices come back down to normal? Nope, didn't think so, it'll be slower than oil coming back down.

Skipworth, who became CEO of Wingstop in March, also credited high demand for chicken breasts as helping tamp down wing costs.

So that's why you're introducing a chicken sandwich now

They're buying in huge volumes at wholesale. Then they sell you 8 wings for $12.

lately im buying premarinated garlic and herb boneless leg meat. ill get a pound or a bit more, cut it into decent size peices, make 2 foil packets full, add a little extra marinade, then into the airfryer for 25 minutes at 370, no flip at halfway. the chicken comes out tender and very tasty, no burning  at all, i got tired of breading in general so i dont bother with it anymore. 8-10 bucks buys a weeks worth, ill cook it twice a week, great eating for not a lot of money...

Interesting I think...

Walmart has eight pound bags of wings that were $16 a week ago, now they're on sale for $8 and change.

This is weird.

And I need an air fryer.

BW3 did away with their BOGO wing Tuesdays and it is now BO get one 50% off. I am sure they'll bring back BOGO any day now.

/I like some of their sauces but their wings are tiny/pathetic.

Huh. Haven't seen boneless leg meat around here. Thighs, but not wings. Given the boneless thighs cost over twice what the bone-in do, I've just started removing them myself. It was a major hassle at first, but once you get comfortable with the techniques (I watched a lot of youtube), you can actually go through them relatively quickly (and I'm still not good at it, just kinda okay).

I am not sure there is one close to me so sounds like I am not missing anything. Better off just buying wings at the grocery store or bulk store and cooking them.yoirself anymore.

I do want to try the flaming hot Cheetos sauce at BW and their Nashville hot is good

I like their Nashville hot sandwich..

But I'm still pissed they phased out the hottest BBQ.

Bdubs and half spicy garlic and half hot BBQ and I was a happy bastard

is it weird that I don't eat chicken?
I worked in restaurants in my youth and the smell of opening a 5lb bag of chicken is awful. there is a reason you need to cook the hell out of it (the gutting process is automated and spreads feces all over the meat). it is spoiled coming out of the farm.
I am probably weird since everyone else likes chicken.

While I was buying bacon last week at the butcher, I saw what they wanted for wings.  Six dollars and something per pound.

Just shook my head

/thighs are better anyway

How much was the bacon?

Digital coupon special here-limit 1 unfortunately. I use them to make shredded chicken for various things as well as homemade stock. Now granted these are probably hens that are no longer productive for eggs, but for shredded chicken and stock they are fine.

My wife's coworker gave her what might as well be a "golden ticket" to one of those restaurant supply stores. That place is the bomb.

They sometimes sell "discard" chicken wings -- perfectly edible, just ugly. If you don't mind the odd shapes, you can get a screaming deal.

That's interesting, my  BW3 still has BOGO wings on Tuesdays. It might be regional.

Huh. They are still doing the BOGO for boneless on Thursdays. This Tuesday I'll have to try a different restaurant and see if they have it since I am basically halfway between two of them.
