Flappyhead: It's Mike Smith time, baby!!!

Let's see if he starts Game 2, or if the Oilers go with Koskinen.

Just saw the word foinf yesterday, I'm totally missing out on something, I think.

Original coinage from a couple of days ago.  It has become a bit of a thing.

It's foinf to be huge.

I looked up "foinf" on Urban Dictionary to see what reference I was missing.  It clarified nothing.

The Mike Smith Experience™ at least also gives you a few gems as well. With Koskinen you will get the steady performance of...a Finnish Martin Jones.

What are the Oilers' options after Smith and Koskinen?
I'm assuming they have a 3rd goalie, maybe playing in the minors.
If not, who's driving the Zamboni?

That would be Stewart Skinner, who actually had better numbers than either Smith or Koskinen at the time he played this year for the team in mid-season.  They recalled him after their minor league team was eliminated from the playoffs last week.

They'll start Smith again.  I don't see Skinner getting used unless Smith drops due to an injury, which is entirely possible given that he flops around like a past-his-prime men's league goalie.

You realize he gave up the fewest goals of anyone last night, right?

Yeah, but he got yanked after fewer than 10 minutes.

3 goals on 7 shots though. He also had the worst save % out of the three "goalies" last night.

Rectum damn near killed em: 3 goals on 7 shots though. He also had the worst save % out of the three "goalies" last night.

And he's already been confirmed as the starter for tomorrow night

I'd start him too but it's still a legit thing to question. My only question would be how much to put on the over lol.

Smith could come out angry and laser focused, and then shut out the Flames to steal home-ice advantage. Goal differential and GAA mean nothing now, just getting the 4 wins.

He got you there, you gotta give it to him.

Even if Smith performed worse, Koskinen was still awful. Give Smith the vote of confidence and put him out again. If either of them play like last time you are hosed anyway.

Yes, see my response (the comment just above yours).

Goal differential and GAA don't matter, just wins. There are no bonus points for a resounding win over a 1-goal win. So, if Smith comes back re-focused and laser-sharp for Game 2, the Oilers could still steal home-ice advantage early in this series.
