Sounds like an oblique strain.  If so, that's like pulling a hamstring; no definite time table on a return and not completely sure it won't act up again doing something very routine.

RA Dickey had a very successful career into his 40's. Mets are the kings of wringing out the last bit of goodness older pitchers have to give. From Bartolo to Max.

Yikes!  I look at that as minimum.  I'm conflicted on this, though.  I've always liked Max but he's playing for the stinking Mets.  I hope he recovers soon and without issue.  I'm just gonna go with "that's a "them" problem".
