Why blur it out? It's a bit of blood, not a chainsaw murder scene.

Back in the "day," the custodian would just come around with his orange sawdust stuff, sweep it and mop it with bleach. I suppose now they hire hazmat suit wearing crews with a 22 chemical process that requires shutting down the school for a week. Or something.

1) The school obviously farked up with the lack  of immediate cleaning and the delayed communication.

2) But that one mom who said that the (high school) kids were traumatized is ridiculous.

That's an incredibly bad way of seeing things.

I bet if it was Mercury they'd have shiat that school down for a week to clean it.

That's fake. I can tell by the pixels.

Other articles have way better pictures. There was blood all up and down the hallway. It was gnarly.

CSB
I had a karate class that was held in the gym at Pier Avenue jr high school in Hermosa Beach, CA. We had to wait until the film crew cleared out; they were filming that scene.
I actually got to see the filming of Carrie coming out of the gym, covered in blood. And as I remember it, it was actually really windy that night, so that wind wasn't an effect.

That's one, among many, reasons I do NOT go to Wal-Mart...ever...I'll gladly pay a few pennies more to
get anything anywhere else..

When I was in 5th grade and it was my turn for show and tell, I brought an electric fryer and a couple pop-open cans of biscuits and made doughnuts for the class. Your remark made me wonder what would happen if a 10-year-old kid brought a fryer to school today.

My dad's family was poor; he hunted squirrel when he was a kid to help put some meat on the table. Starting when he was 8 or 9, IIRC (which would have been in 1947 or '48), he took his rifle to school most days; the teacher put it in the classroom closet for him until school ended for the day.

Things, to put it mildly, have changed.

TBH, I don't mind going to the one in my parents' town....because the local Safeway is a shiat show.

But other than that, I avoid them.  There are two not too far from my place, and I prefer to spent my time and money at the nearest grocery stores and Costco.

I'll gladly pay many dollars more and buy a lot less stuff. I don't understand people who have been alive the last 40 years and still choose Walmart.

And this is a high school, for farks sake.  They may be minors but they are not children.

Also from tfa:

The incident happened at 1 a.m. on Sunday, yet parents were not notified until 1:03 p.m. on Monday, four hours into the school day.

So, wait, they don't start their school day until 9am?  Lucky little bastards, my high school started at 8 am sharp.

They're finally starting to listen to all the studies that show that starting early doesn't help and in fact hinders actually learning anything
