Pablo was a prick in life.  Kinda sucks that some of my favorite artists i studied turned out to be just terrible people

That's definitely a common story in the arts. It's difficult to determine if being "artistic", that is, expecting the world to support your desire to make money by smearing colored paste on canvas, playing songs, etc. selects for narcissistic aholes, or whether simply becoming noted for doing that requires a single-minded focus on your main chance, and other people become tools for your ambition thereby. In other words, do aholes become artists, or is it simply that the artists we hear about became aholes because the ones that didn't spent too much time taking  care of their kids, treating people well, and listening to others to become known.
