before i was medicated i was a mess. but i wrote a lot. after i was stabilized on meds i came across several books i had written in the past. horrible. dark, dreary, full of unhappiness. went right into the recycle pile.

being medicated ruined my imagination. i also had a few years of technical writing - assorted manuals for x ray film processing machines, installation, service/maintenance/repair. they writing was so factual and straight forward it ruined my creative writing skills.

Now waitaminute:  The world really really needs good technical writers.  I have to research and slog through technical manuals.  I appreciate good, straight forward writing.

Also:  Welbutrin?  When I was on 300, I was an emotinal zombie.  No lows, but also no highs.  Moved to lower dosage.  better, but there are still some days where it is hard to just laugh.  But the tradeoff is i'm not crawling into bed and saying screw it to the rest of the world
