When I was young and foolish I partied with a bunch of wrestlers, track athletes and dudes who did roofing. They all had very low body fat and could not hold their liquor. So yeah this is kinda good advice.

There are lots of guys out there, especially in "bro" culture, who will actually get angry with you if you don't drink. Like you not drinking causes them to have less fun

Hasn't happened to me, because I'm a farking lush, but I've seen it happen many times
