Fetterman may save us the senate and Joe knows it.

When you beat the Manchin type candidate by over 20 points moderates have to pretend to be happy.

I hope to god Dr. Oz disappears immediately after the GOP primary.  I bet he goes on Fox News and explains all about Fetterman's condition

Whether you think he's pretending or not, moving to stand behind Fetterman the second Lamb became mince was the right call.

The moderates are happy because he straight up says he's not a progressive.

The progressives are happy because real Democrats with a little chutzpah is what we've wanted the whole time.

"John Fetterman is a two ton man-mountain who could palm a medicine ball!"

"John Fetterman had a four day heart attack -- a day for each chamber. At the autopsy, they said his heart looked like a basketball filled with ricotta cheese."

"John Fetterman uses the Shroud of Turin as a golf towel."

"I went camping with Fetterman ... I'm in the back of a pickup with John Fetterman and a live deer. Well, Fetterman, he grabs the deer by the antlers, looks at it and says, 'I'm John Fetterman! Say it!' Then he squeezes the deer in such a way that a sound comes out of its mouth -- "Johfettrmn!" It wasn't exactly it, but it was pretty good for a deer."

"John Fetterman wears a live rattlesnake as a condom."

"I once saw him scissor-kick Angela Lansbury."

"Did I ever tell you about the time John Fetterman showed up at my daughter's wedding? You know my daughter, she's a beautiful girl. Well, Fetterman shows up and you know he's a big fella. Well, he's standing right between me and my daughter at the ceremony. He's got no right to be there, but he's drunk and he's John Fetterman. Well, long story short, the priest accidentally marries me and Fetterman. We spend the weekend in the Poconos. He loved me like I've never been loved before."

"John Fetterman sweats Gatorade."

"He once punched a hole in a cow just so he could see who was coming up the road."

"I remember one time John Fetterman took his family to Sea World. They were watching Shamu the whale when Fetterman got splashed. So Fetterman yells, 'I'm John Fetterman and no one gets me wet!' So he climbs into the tank, grabs Shamu, and throws the whale into the audience, splashes him and yells, 'How do you like it?' And then damn if Fetterman didn't step in there and finish the show."

"John Fetterman is a son of a biatch!"

"TO JOHN FETTERMAN!!"

A President's endorsement is too important to give during a primary. The endorsed candidate might not win the nomination. Once the primary is over and the party has a clear choice, that's the appropriate time. Only a complete and utter credulous fool of a feckless, sub-moronic, strictly amateur hour zero of a President would endorse a candidate running opposed in a primary.

Fetterman is going to win in November, easily.

His campaign style reminds me a bit of Clinton's back in 1992, but with enough of an edge to throw off the GQP's attempts to paint Democrats as weak.

He's the real deal, and it doesn't matter which GQP moron wins the junior varsity primary.

Ugh, this is the first I heard about this.

Why can we never have nice things? Finally a candidate to be somewhat excited about and he has a stroke before even winning the primary. Even if he makes a full recovery this is going to linger over him.

Gfy. Accepting that Manchin is better than a WV Republican isn't being anti progressive. It's actually as progressive as reality allows.

Biden only endorsed him after Fetterman was blackmailed by Hillary to run as a progressive, but rule as a centrist.  I bet you that after he wins, I'll still be miserable, thus proving that he's exactly the same as the Republicans.  You can all get back to your brunch mimosas now.

Also, he is currently leading by 0.2%, as of 7AM

Because nobody wants to throw together the endorsement letter at the last minute when a massive upset happens.

Kind of like how the DoD has war plans on file to invade every country, including our friends.

You don't tempt the gods from high atop the thing. You have a speech ready if Fetterman wins, and one of he loses.

You *never* assume an outcome, or at least prepare for every possible outcome

You should still prepare for anything. Remember 2016?

Don't get me wrong I'm ecstatic that Fetterman won but I'm betting five minutes was used (if even) by a speech writer (or their intern) to do a little endorsement blurb. The only small difference is they might have waited for Fetterman to endorse Lamb first had it been an upset - but he probably would have done that at a concession speech.

Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't a "Hey, let's wait and see" blurb from Biden had the PA primary been too close to call

I'm still a believer in having five speeches

1. Major win Victory Speech
2. Very Close Win Speech
3. Too close to call/we're still in this fight speech
4. Very Close Loss Concession
5. Major Loss Concession

Listen carefully. An hour ago, I reviewed the United States contingency plan to invade your country.  It's from 1789, amended in 1815. The calligraphy is beautiful. And if one more deal is floated in this room, I'm gonna ask DoD to reactive it.
