Terry Bradshaw? Guess he is going back to FOX now.

Ah, we Royals fans should delight in their 2015 World Series win, as it looks to be another 30 year stretch before they win one again

That'd be league average. And I don't know if they whine about being in a small market, but if they do, they sure aren't as vocal about it as the Reds or Pirates.

The new coach, Zumwalt, will be introducing several new electromagnetic batting technologies at great expense. Ultimately, the Royals might have to scale the entire thing back.

/probably not obscure on Fark.

The Reds and the Pirates fark themselves over with their stupid decisions.

The Cardinals play in a market maybe just slightly bigger than Pittsburgh or Cincinnati, and they manage to do well consistently.

Ownership group is pretty well set on keeping them in KC it seems.  There's a bunch of local business names in there - Kemper, Dunn, McCarthy, plus Patrick Mahomes and Eric Stonestreet.

These are all minority owners, mind you... I know Mahomes' share is 1%, and no idea on anyone else.

But consider the nearest market is St Louis, and beyond that.. what, Denver?  Not too many places to move to that would make sense, given the competition they'd face for fans.

Exactly.

Well, Terry Bradshaw the QB would probably be a better hitting coach than another former NFL quarterback, Tim Tebow, would be, considering the latter's lifetime .222 minor league batting average, mostly in A ball.

Ha, Angels and White Sox nowhere to be seen. Even the A's got Alameda County.

Should have hired Turkey Jones instead. He's good at hitting.

tebow is a bad example because he's tebow, but in general bad players make way better coaches than stars do

I call BS on Royals territory in Iowa. Cubs should extend at least to the Des Moines metro - their AAA affiliate is here, ffs.

There's something farky about that map, to be honest, and I'm not just saying that because the White Sox don't exist on it. Like, it's gotta be something related to majority of fan interest by county or something....

yeah there's plenty that's suspect I think; the Cubs-DSM thing is just the only one I know for sure.

I think it's technically a broadcast blackout map, or something along those lines.  Any map that claims to show strictly fanbase influence gets real muddled real quick.  I wasn't intending it to be definitive of much of anything, just an example of the team's market influence.
