FARKers who play ESPN's Pigskin Picks during the season - I received an email for "Pigskin Win Totals" last week, inviting us to try and predict the over/under total wins for each team for the next season.  Yes, already.

Is there enough interest for a FARK group for that?

I predict that neither Lock or Smith is starting, and one of them isn't on the opening day roster.   They'll either pick up Mayfield as a semi-drop in, or go with someone you've never heard of.  And they finish at the bottom of the division.

Thank you for listening to my Ted talk.

I'd do it.

Some of the swaps in TFA seem really arbitrary. The "post-FA rankings" have dropped teams that were widely considered to have great drafts.

Don't want to jinx it. but I honestly hope the Bills can pull it off this year. Their fans deserve it. They put a helluva team together.. go out and get it done.

Now that I've moved away they have a shot...

/the Bills made the playoffs the year before I moved to WNY, missed the playoffs EVERY YEAR I was there, and got back the first year after I moved away

Moved to New England after being a Giants fan (10 years old) and having LT/Parcells and the crew... was great... we moved up here to Scott Zolack and a bunch of CRAP. bad/bad/bad... teased with Bledsoe, got to the big dance... destroyed.... garbage garbage... then Tommy Boy came along...

We had the most amazing run any fan could ever have in their lifetimes. I get to spend the rest of my life just hoping they have 1 or 2 amazing seasons because nothing will ever, EVER top those 20 years.

But, i get to see a lot of the Bills up here. I always respected them with Jim Kelly, Thurman Moore, Steve Christie winning games all by himself... a solid team that just has NEVER been able to cash that ticket. Those years you're talking about where the Pats would dump 50 points on them... those were just terrible teams. my god. I felt so bad for the fans because the product was just awful. Those QB's and everything else.

If they can't do it with this crew in the next 2 seasons it just won't ever happen. Hope you can see most of the games.

Honestly, I like doing all picks before the season starts.  I've done about as well with the full season picks before the season starts then the week-to-week guesses lol.

Although an addendum to this...

I usually do my "all picks for the season" in August (maybe around pre-season and/or after the 3rd pre-season game happens).  That way you at least know if x player got injured during workouts/practices and/or pre-season games.

My Niners have two qbs, one of which is a known meh and one of which appears to be an unknown meh. The guy who is our entire offense is unhappy and wants out. Also, we didn't really draft any immediate impact guys.

But things are good.

Allright, that's enough motivation for this way-too-early pre-preseason endeavor.

It's not about guessing who wins individual games, just which teams will make their predicted over/under of wins for the season.  So, pretty straight forward, and simple enough we'll all probably forget about it by the time the first preseason game rolls around.  Invite your friends!

Packers at #6? Try #26. This is the year that Rodgers truly shiats the bed and gets what he deserves after being the worst NFL playoff QB in the last 10 years. And I'm a lifelong Packer fan. Packers will be lucky to finish third in their division. With only one proven WR (and, honestly, Lazard is not a #1 wideout) and an OL that never ever stays healthy for the whole season, if Rodgers is smart, he'll try to purposely get his shoulder wrecked in week 1 and then either retire or ask for a trade. There is no conceivable way the Packers make the playoffs. None. Zero.

I'm just gonna say what I always say, which is that people are too damn certain of things.

Someone's gotta win the NFC North.

As a Rams fan, I like the #2 ranking and don't think they deserve an automatic #1 just because they are the reigning champs.  The reigning champs still have to be judged as a team and not just as the reigning champs resting on their laurels as reigning champs.

It is a bit depressing to realize that it is very rare for the reigning champs to repeat as champs, especially with the schedule for the reigning champs being so hard, and every team gunning for the reigning champs, but as reigning champs, I know they will do their best to show why they are what they are.

The Los Angeles Rams, the reigning champs.

No?
They should ranked below every team in the NFL and USFL

I mean, they very well might, but I don't know any Bears or Vikings fans who feel comfortable saying they'll win the division, and I know Bears fans and Vikings fans.
