73 years old.

Bad heart, kidney failure, history of alcoholism.

It's gonna be like the end of The Wrestler.

I hope for his sake that they hold the match somewhere where there's an athletic commission that requires wrestlers to pass a physical.

Flair really wants to die in the ring.

That would be a fitting end and kinda baller.

AEW can only have so many Monday Nitro alumni before that "hip and young fed" reputation goes to shiat faster than it would take Tony Khan to do the propellor to a flight attendant.

Is it true he's wrestling Minnie Minoso?

Terry Funk is seventy-seven, I'm pretty sure he has had more "retirement matches" than years alive.

I haven't gone back and watched Ric Flair's first "retirement match"* against Shawn Michaels but as I remember it, it was pretty damn good for the story they were telling.

*the first one that comes to mind, at least

Alright, that was pretty funny!

irrespective of the ric flair angle, because conrad thompson is involved i'm even more annoyed.

That dude has his fingers in every single podcast.  What used to be entertaining, now like... you can't escape his voice.  He's monopolized the wrestling podcast world.

fans, are there any non-conrad wrestling podcasts I can listen to?

as for flair.. well, i guess it was going to happen sooner or later.

Who are two people who should never be allowed in a sanctioned wrestling event?

Back in the 1980s my friend and neighbor bought us ringside tickets (Lane Events Center @ the county fairgrounds), I was more interested in seeing Rick Steamboat, but first up was Ric Flair vs Dusty Rhodes. Some old dude started yelling insults at Flair, trying to goad him and we thought for a bit that Flair was going to go over the ropes and bodyslam the old guy. Match starts and my friend starts yelling, "Fix your hair!" at him and he'd actually reach up and push his hair back everytime she yelled this, so I got into the act.  We yelled ourselves hoarse and could barely speak above a whisper the next couple of days, but it was so worth it.  Flair won the match.  Can't recall who Steamboat was up against, but he won his match too.

Flair will be behind on alimony ten years after he's dead.
