If you have Chris Paul or James Harden on your team, don't ever expect to win anything

One of the greatest ass kicking I have ever seen in my life. IN THEIR HOUSE.

That's gonna sting. That team will be broken up shortly.

I didn't have a horse in this race, but I was stunned how badly the Suns were beaten.

It wasn't even ugly enough to be laughable. It was just mother farkin' brutal.

/I salute you Dallas.

As a casual NBA fan, and "hadn't been to a Suns game in 29 years before two playoff games last summer" fan, and living about 20 minutes from the arena........good lord.  i was so stoked.  the best regular season team in the NBA, got ZERO national love, was hoping we'd cram it sideways up the NBA's ass.

We struggled against a New Orleans team that scraped into the playoffs, and a one trick pony Dallas team, obv ragdolled us into a 7-game series.  and in Game 7, kicked our ass pillar to post and the worst part, no one stepped up.  a completely academic asswhipping, with no answer, no heart, no response, no nothing.  absolutely farking embarassing.  one month ago the Suns/Booker were complaining about the lack of national respect.  Well you farking showed your ass.

Embarassing.

Hey at least you can understand why they even got to the playoffs. Do you know how confusing it was to have the nuggets in the playoffs and not the lakers?

My in-laws are in our house this past weekend and the father-in-law wanted to watch the Mavs/Suns game so I got it on the screen.

Holy cow....I haven't watched the NBA in a while so I have no idea who is who, but wow....Suns looked horrible.  I think I could have made those same shots (with the same results!) for way cheaper than whoever is on the Suns team.

/my career highlight is scoring 3 3-pointers in one high school basketball game
//only got into the game in the last quarter because I was usually a bench-warmer

to what I said above re "no national love", it was astoudning how literally after the Lakers were mathematically elimininated, circa April, they had a prime time Sunday night game against the Warriors, and then i think the following Friday, either the Bucks or Lakers.

both made ratings sense - but Phoenix was getting the occasional TNT/TBS game on a farking Tuesday, and the mathematically ELIMINATED Lakers prime time slots.

and for farking what, Phoenix?  what a catastrophic gag job.  i called my Suns fanatic BIL after the game, and alll we could do was laugh.  we finished each other's sentence, i forget if he or i started it:  "I would rather we had lost in OT on a buzzer beater, than --

"absolutely not farking show up and get our asses absolutely kicked!!!!"

Every time Dallas beats a team in the playoffs it's always about how the other team needs to be blown up and how it went wrong for them. Hey guys, maybe Luka is the truth and the probable new face of the league when Bron retires. Maybe they got a team that works with Luka. Maybe they got a coach that knows what to do with them. Maybe the Mavs are good?? They match up well with the Dubs.

It literally happened when Dallas won a title in 2011, never got the proper respect at the time and was all about "what's wrong with the Lakers, Thunder, Heat..." Oh well, keep winning Dallas.

Can both things not be true? Dallas is good and Luka is a great player. Yet the Suns had 27 points at halftime in game 7 in their building. That was a YMCA performance last night and is deeper than the other team was just good.

What is it with Phoenix fans having persecution complexes? More people care more about the Lakers and Lebron than they do about the Suns. It's not a judgement, it's reality. Also remember that CP3 is almost universally despised and Booker certainly hasn't done himself any favors this post season with the flopping, whining, shiat talking and not showing up.

No, no, no.  Dallas is apparently a "one-trick pony".

Not quite sure what that one-trick is, though.  Stifling defense?  Masterfully out-coaching the Coach-of-the-Year?  Is it somehow a call-back to Kareem's comments about Dirk?  I dunno, I apparently am just a casual fan of basketball.

I agree, but it's a bit annoying as a Mavs fan for your team to be the sidenote in a series they won. That's the media for you, I wonder how this all impacts LeBrons legacy?

Right? Not sure how a one trick pony makes the western conference finals and beats the beat team record wise in the league. Must be a good trick.

The funny part is whining about one team not getting respect while simultaneously disrespecting the other team, and making it look effortless.

All on the court baby, Suns lost the damn series when Book thought it wise to disrespect Luka and clown him. Clowned Brunson too and he a straight up no nonsense baller. Love to see it.

Reminded me of Wade and Bron clowning Dirk when up 2-0 only to get beat in 6 by the legend himself.

That's EVERY team, every year, in every sport, because all sports media is based on criticizing people instead of celebrating greatness.

(The Lakers would've received a hell of a lot less attention this year if they'd gone 56-26 than they did being a sh*tshow)

/all in all, a delightful game followed on Twitter

I hope it's Mavs/Heat III, wherein all of them are with basically entirely different teams. That'd be fun.

/but that means it'll be Celtics/Warriors :-/

I would love that, a nice grudge match between two franchises that are seemingly linked together.
