It's one hell of a scam. Hire someone, tell them they're working on a commission basis, and then load them down with all the work that doesn't pay any commission.

Tah dah! Slave labor for as long as they continue to fall for it.

I mean sure the company that she was under contract for was NOT samsung, and it was made clear that it was some staffing agency that was the actual employer who she signed the contract with, but what the fark do the facts have to do with headlines right subby?

Plausible deniability on Samsung's part.

Sounds like it's time to unionize.

That sentence is so hipster I spontaneously grew a handlebar moustache and acquired a banjo just from reading it.

It's worse than that.  They didn't work for Samsung, they were subcontractors of a third party firm that had a contract with Samsung.

Samsung's support really is that bad.  Bad enough that I plan to shiatpost about them even from the grave.  Do not buy Samsung unless you want a truly infuriating support experience.

I had a good support/rma experience recently.

What was yours?

Samsung hired the company that did this, the people doing the work were doing so as agents of Samsung.  If Samsung does not want to be associated with such exploitative work arrangements then they should fix this situation.  Samsung.

Samsung.
