This is a metaphor for what's going to happen to Musk, isn't it?

Yes, Primm is a real place and not just a Fallout: New Vegas location.  Yes, one of the casinos there has a roller coaster.

Why didn't they simply do the remote disable trick like you can do with OnStar?

Is that 2 just today? In Columbus, OH, another one ran into a building at approximately 70 m.p.h.

Also, Whiskey Pete was a real guy. When building the overpass for I15, the story goes they they found his grave. His remains have since been relocated to an unknown location in the area.

That town literally exists because people from California are too impatient to wait another 30 minutes to get to Las Vegas to gamble.

Or for Las Vegas residents to get their lottery ticket fix on the California side...

Was the woman in TFA arrested by Primm Slim?

BlueGreen once had a gimmick, just for sitting thru their sales pitch, a paid stay at Whiskey Pete in Vegas.   never heard of it, so i said forget it.  i thought it was a joke.

About 18MPG if you do that, slightly better than the Tahoe in the background.

Alright, damnit, you made me do some math.  I hope you're proud of yourself.  And due to the fact that I've never used a generator, I may be off on all of these calculations, so correct me if I'm wrong.

That generator looks a lot like this one that you can rent from Home Depot. This tells me:
AC Output - 120/240V 6500W max. (54.2/27.1A) / 5500W rated (45.8/22.9A)
Runs 10 hours @ 50% load (6.3 gal.)

So, calculation 1 is 5500W x 10 hrs = 55,000W
Calculation 2 is 55,000W / 6.3 gal = 8,730 W/gal, or 8.73 kWh/gal

According to this site, the Model X (pictured) travels roughly a mile per .34 kWh.

Calculation 3: 8.73 kWh / .34 = 25.68 MPG

I could be way off on how kWh are calculated based on a generator's rating, so this could all be crap, but I'm honestly quite surprised that a generator's efficiency would be that low.

I just googled up a number from somebody who tried it with a honda gas generator- I'm surprised your calculations came out that high, but it does depend rather strongly on the efficiency of your generator.  I saw another test elsewhere that put a diesel generator charging a Tesla up against a similar-sized diesel car, and the generator won that one.

I think maybe what you missed is that 10 hours is the rating at 50% load... but I don't know if that's half of 6500 or 5500. Either way, I think you've done the math at 10 hours of max load.

If this was a 'custom' Tesla, presumably it's the one with the SAME paintjob as her dress?

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) is assisting Nevada State Police in Primm after a woman allegedly stole a vehicle then took it for a joyrid

Joyrid? Is that a metaphor for disposing of a Tesla?
