"The cartels are putting fentanyl into more product that's out there including everything from marijuana to methamphetamine to cocaine,"

It seems counter productive to kill off your customer base.

Nobody's putting fentanyl in marijuana. At least not at the distribution level.

LOCK THE USERS UP...............Oh wait this is not a big city problem anymore with those people. We should do rehabs now instead of prisons.
/This shiat wouldn't be a problem if the US actually did something in the 80-00's about heroine .

And. Yet, my beer and cigars and other tobacco  don't  have fentanyl.  Why do legal drugs like booze and tobacco not have fentanyl? It's a farking mystery of the ages. Wow.

Hooray for rehabilitation instead of purely punitive responses.  But do y'all have to run so many commercials for sketchy rehabs on the radio?  I'm trying to listen to music here.

It's NH fault, their DOT used fentanyl instead of salt, and the powder on fried dough at Hampton beach is carfentanyl.
/they have issues with addiction in NH, the 5000 vape shops in Salem on Rt 28 should've told ya.

Danger:  Just woke up, rambling morning mode on.  Read it or don't.
I'm from NH.  Here are some anecdotes from my experience.  Make of them what you will...

- In my extended circle of acquaintances, there have been four overdose deaths in the last ten or fifteen years.

- All four deaths are friends of my idiot Trumper sister.  She had zero empathy for "losers who kill themselves with drugs", with the exception of her friends who were really sweet people, who the Sacklers killed.

- She's now reverted back to zero empathy for dead "druggie vermin."  The idea of her taxpayer money being spent on Naloxone, or any other kind of drug intervention program fills her with rage.  Her husband is self employed, and reports a fraction of his income to the IRS.

- A guy I sailed with on Meetup was/is a doctor, employed by a charity to assist addicts.  He had nothing but contempt for opiod seekers.  He never really considered that kind of economic anxiety/lack of opportunities that might drive the people in the poorest towns where were his clients were from... to self medicate.

- Oh, right, my Trumpy sister is self medicated to the gills on alcohol, and her husband on alcohol and weed.  In her defense, she had minimal opportunities as a child, because our parents were crazy sexist in her upbringing.  But, she doesn't remember it that way, and believes our parents were too soft on her, because she was horrible as a child.  Tell me that isn't all kinds of sad.

- The poor towns in NH have poor education systems, cheap initial housing, high taxes, few opportunities for youth sports, theater, after school activities.  It's a repeating recipe for failure and misery.

- Bored kids in the north country do nothing, but get drunk/high every day.  They have few other entertainment options.

- Governor Sununu appointed a Trumpy education DeVos style who wants to gut the public school systems, and allow the rich people to direct their taxes directly to private schools, to basically Fark the Poor.

- NH has been exploring/started using a law that charges, co-users with murder.  In practice, it's only being used when someone white and pretty dies.

It's my opinion that the NH Republicans are killing their own, their most vulnerable, apparently because it's profitable to do so.  Then they spout about the morals of the addicts, their own constituents, as they kick them to the curb.  They mock the NH liberals who are trying to help as being too softhearted and weak on crime, as if trying to prevent the causes of poverty and misery is what's causing the addicts.  Go figure.

This article, I'm not convinced that the distributers are just adding fentanyl to weed and gummies and casual drugs.  That sounds more like a scare story that they foolishly hope will keep kids from experimenting with the devil lettuce.
