I couldn't help but glance at the headline and misread it as Mental Floss. I think that would have been a step above LH.

But the dried ranch crystals add abrasive qualities like diamond dust or CBN on a grinding wheel.

I believe the previous recent thread where CLARE's unfortunate assistant unfortunately CLAREsplained The Cheeses And How Should They Be Cut, it did not involve dental floss in any way?

Use plain dental floss, not flavored  I've been doing this for a few years, especially when making small cheesecake squares that I then dip in chocolate.
