They're lucky they're the New York Times. The Texas Times would have been forced to carry that puzzle to term.

But the NYT had other options, right?  I'm sure there are countless good Christian families eager to adopt unwanted words.

Cinedelic: unwanted words

Now that is a concept I had never considered.

And having considered it I have decided that I want all of the words.

So is Wordle 6 letters in the UK to account for the extra vowels?

"Zygote," "fetus" and "pregnant" are among the words to be banned from school textbooks in Florida.

I had the original word and thought to myself "well that's topical" and that would have been the end of it except my husband and I use the same starting word and got very confused by our mismatched graphs

2022-05-09 4:08:18 PM
Well hey, if you stop using the word fetus, and only use the word baby, soon all fetuses become babies. This frames the dialogue in such a way that particularly favors only one side of the issue.

Nope, totally nothing wrong with that.

Mad_Radhu: So is Wordle 6 letters in the UK to account for the extra vowels?

No, it is not, and yes, that has frustrated me on occasion.

/ I also know that Wordle's dictionary also includes some less-common loan-words from Japanese, of all things...

This is exactly the kind of self censorship the right is counting on by passing vague laws that make thought-crimes a real thing in America.

Just wait for what's coming for your so called right to privacy after they take away a women's right to her own body autonomy. Conservatives taste the blood and they will feast on your freedom like vampires funded by Peter Theil until forcibly stopped.

Then ask yourself, what's it going to take to stop them with the entire game fully rigged and all the levers of power poised to rain hell down on you if you dare disagree. Look at DeSantis attacking Disney and realize you don't have their power and you know the right is planning to burn it all down if we let them.

Similar for me today

Wordle 324 2/6
⬜⬜🟩🟨🟩
🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩

My first-guess word almost forms a phrase with the correct word. Not quite as neatly as a few weeks ago when the word was ROBIN and my last entry (before the correct one) was ROUND, but close.

So anyway, a day later, my first guess was ARISE and the correct answer was SHINE. Almost a phrase together, but not quite.

Took me five tries today, including an unforced error when I guessed a letter in a spot where that letter had already come up yellow. On the other hand, that bad guess did reveal a key letter that led to the correct answer.
