(People Magazine)   One Massachusetts family thought they were rescuing a lost puppy that was wandering on a busy road. Well, it was lost, but you can't keep baby coyotes in the home   (people.com) divider line

All of the coyotes we have here and I've never seen a puppy. They must be great at hiding.

I have seen young bobcats and I expect to die one day trying to pet one.

I almost tried to pet a young raccoon once. I mean, if it doesn't want to be petted it should stay out of my pantry...

Vigilante: "Wasn't exactly inconsistent with what I'd imagined would happen if a man just walked up and grabbed a wild raccoon."

I was pet a skunk by accident. It was night and I was bringing some stuff in from the fenceline and warm fur brushes against my arm as I'm leaning down. Thought it was one f the cats. Moved back towards the house and say over my should "C'mon, buddy. Time to come in and go to bed."

Turn around and what is very much NOT a cat steps into the light. It would appear skunks appreciate a good scritch behind the ears as much as the next mammal.
