The most traditional format for hip hop was always bootleg cassette out of the back of a trunk.

And running shoes. Don't forget running shoes. And milk shake machines. And trunk organizers.

The more I hear Yasiin Bey's "the Earth is flat" conspiratorial nonsense, the less interested I am in his music.

FTA: He continued, "You know, people come and say, 'Hey, what about what I want? I want the vinyl. I want it on Spotify. I want...' What you want does not matter. Know what I'm sayin'? What Black Star wants matters."

People are just going to pirate it.  Should have gone with Bandcamp, a vinyl pressing would have sold out within a day.

I think I'm even less interested in Talib Kweli's contributions since his misogynist Twitter trolling episodes.

They don't have anything on this man

Come to think of it, his promised output makes GRRM look like Stephen King

For the first time in nearly 24 years, a new Black Star album has dropped.

Is it just me, or is that phrasing awkward when applied to something that's only happened once?
