A Scottish guy visits America and wants to see a baseball game. So he goes to the stadium to watch and tries to figure out how it all works.

The fans around him tell him to cheer when the player gets a hit. So when the first player hits the ball he starts screaming (thick Scottish accent) "Run ya bastard!  Run! Run!"

The fans around him find this amusing and encourage more. Of course then a player hits a foul and he's screaming again: "Run ya bastard! Run! Run!"

The fans tell him the player doesn't run and that it's a foul.

The very same at-bat the player draws a walk. As the player begins the slow trot to first the Scottish man screams again "Run ya bastard! Run! Run!"

The man next to him says "he doesn't have to run, he's got four balls"

And the Scottish man screams out "WALK MAN! WALK WITH PRIDE"

/ better when someone tells it with the Scottish accent
