Russia has died of corruption.

From what I've seen, Ukraine is kicking Russia's ass in the internet war, too.

To be fair, Russian bot farms have pretty much trained to spam comment sections, Twitter and Facebook. Their usual targets of seniors and idiots downloading porn files are maybe a bit sparse in Ukraine right now.

They're on Reddit too, brigading on odd threads here and there.  Did you know that resisting Russia is futile, and they'll easily beat Ukraine any day now?  Fascinating stuff.

There's a game on Steam called Highfleet with a lot of slavic themes and made by a well known Russian dev who came out as opposed to the invasion of Ukraine, I popped into its forum to see what the landscape looked like and sure enough there's a couple stalwart pro-russian accounts stinking the place up with the most unbelievable opinions about how the 'special operation' is 'really going' and how they're fine and all that.

Yeah, I think everyone has a somewhat misinformed opinion of Russian hacking abilities because their attacks have been very visible, also because a lot of the hackers hitting western business for ransom are independent Russian.  It wouldn't surprise me if a lot of the side hackers, who've been happy to attack western businesses at the Russian government's behest, want nothing to do with the mess in Ukraine.  And so Russia has to make do with the more limited, less effective hackers on their payroll.

You will hack Pentagon on People's TRS-80. You will do this for Motherland, else there is plenty of room in Siberia for hacker to break rocks for Motherland.
