Feige is hilarious because he's become one of the most powerful people in Hollywood but he wears baseball hats everywhere to the point I wonder if he showers in one because (I guess) he doesn't like that he's bald

I think we have already entered the "Cobra-La" phase of the MCU. It's strictly repaints and pointlessly weird stuff from here on out.

The old nerds will know what I mean.

Sure some powerful and rich people wear baseball hats becuase they are bald.

But just because you wear a baseball hat doesn't make you cool.

It's like Bill Belichick always wearing a torn sweatshirt. Or Bill Gates wearing turtlenecks and jeans.

At a point when you're in charge enough, you get to choose what you want to wear. You go passed "dressing for success" or "dressing for the job you want".

The only reason DC won't ever agree to an Avengers/JLA crossover is because of the bad blood Joe Quesada created when he became EiC of Marvel Comics after the bankruptcy.

I'm bald, but I can assure that the ball cap isn't because I'm vain and embarrassed by the exposed chrome.  Hair provides a lot of protection you take for granted - I wear a cap in the summer to keep the sun off so I don't get a scalp burn, and I wear one in the winter when it's not cold enough for a toque for insulation.

Many years ago, when I had first cut off youngbiohazard's long hair, I went down to a super-short buzz cut. I'd had one extreme (hair was past my waist when I cut it) for years, wanted to try the other way and let it grow out from there.

Yeah... you ain't kidding my friend. I wore hats a lot just for plain 'ol comfort. My head was just so COLD all the damn time. And that was just a buzz cut, not even actually bald. I get it.

I think it's more a matter of how the profits would be split. DC would demand 50/50 and Marvel would give them Tommy Lee Jones newspaper eye.

I have been bald about half my life now. I cannot recall the last time someone other than me made a bald joke. And I like ball caps but I remove them indoors.  Same with the shades if I am sober.

Let's just stop attempting to ram meaningless minor characters down the fanbase's throats (see also, every Disney+ show, Eternals, Shang Chi, etc etc) and stick to characters people care about?  Would that be so difficult?  It might be leading up to a great big bad, but the intervening YEARS are boring and I have lost interest entirely, aside from Spiderman and Dr Strange.

We would've never gotten GoG with that approach. Did we need Eternals? Shang Chi? a Falcon & Winter Solider series? A Hawkeye series?

Nah. Not really. Not saying they were good/bad, just maybe not "needed".

I do think we needed the Wanda series, it helped us see Wanda grieve, grow, and get to where she is now.

You realize that the MCU was built on a minor character, right? Hell, the entire franchise was built with leftover characters that no other studio felt like licensing. Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Black Widow... the only reason Marvel still had those movie rights is because nobody else was interested in making those movies. Also, if you don't like a movie or show, then you don't have to watch it. You might not care about a particular character, but I guarantee that it's someone else's favorite.  Not everything has to cater to your specific sensibilities.

Yup. I've always been an Iron Man stan, and I'll totally agree that yhe character was considered 'B' list up until the movie. Maybe A-.

Captain America, Thor, Hawkeye, Black Widow, GotG, Ant-Man, Carol Danvers

Fiege and his team excel at taking the raw coal and turning it into diamonds.

I mean, Loki has been a staple in the Marvel Universe for 60 years. Falcon for 53. Shang-Chi for 49, Eternals for 46, Moon Knight for 45. And heck Winter Soldier/Bucky has been around since WWII. These are not "minor" characters that nobody cares about. From your personal perspective you think they are minor and don't care about them, but you don't speak for anyone else. For some reason, Americans especially, get it in their head that if they think something about anything, then everyone else must think the same way. Thats just not how life works. All of the characters mentioned have new books and stories on the store shelves every month, and people buy them. If nobody cared they wouldn't sell and Marvel would stop publishing them.

For 70 years, or 840 months. $21k with zero interest. Add in even a low compound rate over 70 years and yeah, still can only afford an apartment these days.
