Pfft, Australia. They open a facility that blasts human waste once and make a song and dance about it.

Here in NZ, I open a facility that blasts human waste every morning.

Just up the road from Logan is a place called Brownes Plains. It's undoubtedly getting browner soon.

I'm assuming yes, because the whole "biochar" thing, but hopefully that heat is enough to deal with the usual environmental hazards in our waste besides pathogens, like pharmaceuticals.

Good point, there are a lot of things you don't want getting into food crops. It seems okay to use on non-food crops such as cotton.

In high school, i worked summers for a friends father who was a general contractor. He took any job. Demolition, landscaping, construction road work anything, One of the jobs was for the city applying fertilizer to the medians between the roads.

His son and I were in the back of a dump truck slinging full shovels of said fertilizer.  We didn't realize Dad had gotten out of the truck to see if we were spreading it well. He comes around the truck and a shovel load just barely missed him. We started laughing.  He didn't even stop walking and said "Why are you laughing, you are stand in a big pile of my shiat".

Yep, he contracted the fertilizer from the city water sanitation department.  It was human poo that have been converted to fertilizer.

Probably coal.
