(Jalopnik)   There are no 0 to 60 mph times for this car because it can't even reach 60 mph. Your top speed is maybe 51 mph on a good day   (jalopnik.com) divider line

"Now, you'd think that because it has the name "Vespa" that it was just a tiny car with a scooter engine."

And you'd basically be right "its 394cc 14 hp twin-cylinder engine..."

If I remember right, my Honda mini-car had a 360cc twin-cylinder air cooled engine.

On a good day, with a tail wind and going down hill it could get close to 80 kph (50 mph)

I remember reading an article about this in a European classic car magazine. A bunch of owners decided that they'd all cross one of the passes in the Alps. They were followed by a Land Rover that carried 2 spare engines. One of them was used (curbside engine swap !). Even then, one or two cars did not make it to the top.

There are some truly terrible choices on that list.

I remember when the Subaru 360 (two-stroke) hit the US market. There was one at the Chicago Auto show and some guy tore the handle out of the hood trying to open it.  It's 0-53* mph was over two minutes.  During a magazine's road test, one of the suicide doors popped open and ripped off of the hinges.

*Subaru claimed it could hit 60.

It can go faster than that. Terminal velocity for a car would be a couple of hundred miles per hour.

Ah. The good old Rolls-Canardly. It Rolls down one hill and Canardly make it up the next.

Used to drive a slick side 60's ford pickup with a granny gear that wouldn't hit 60 mph, but would pull a house off it's frame.

When you get hit in one of those, all that will be left is a color smear on the highway.

"14 hp"

Motorized luggage has more power than that so-called car.

Wish I could remember where to attribute this quote: "My neighbor's new car does 0 to 60 in 4 seconds. My car does 0 to 60...in theory."
