I thought China's been carefully ambiguous about the war in Ukraine. If it were my money, I would have thought the shutdowns in major cities have a bigger impact.

It does, plus their whole bond market is sketchy to begin with right now.   This is just CNN doing CNN stuff.  All these "news" sites like portraying some pet cause that's why down the list of main drivers behind economic stuff.  CNBC, CNN business, Fox Business ...they all pull this crap.
