Easy. Dude lived into his 90s. He* cranked out so much shiat in his later years you could have very easily got some in the 60-70's. I know a few middle class people with Picasso items.

/most of it wasn't even seen by him, it was his studio

Right. I'll help you through the logic.  If any prints sell for millions, "it's a print" is not a reason to assume it is of low value.

The auction description is going to be a work of art itself... "The Picasso, not otherwise a noteworthy piece in the artists career, has all of the standard certifications and validations, and is in very good condition. It was most recently owned by a government employee hated by more than half of the country, whose oafish figurehead replaced her before rigeourmortis set in. The ownership and controversy in the periphery should greatly increase the value."

Aunt Sylvia Palpatine was well-off but not wealthy. She owned a signed litho from Picasso's Don Quixote set which was hanging in her guest bathroom. That still is my favorite place in the world to pee.

Well, purportedly.  There's all sorts of tales of Dali just signing blanks etc.

Anyway, we have what is purported to be a signed Dali litho and it was surprisingly affordable.  Under 300 dollars even with the auction premium.

It's out there.  Go find it.

Yep. We looked at buying a Dalí at a show of his signed prints in Rome, in 2000. I think they were asking something like $800. We were on our honeymoon and poor kids, but I was a big fan of Dali. We decided against it. Probably worth triple now, but certainly not "retire early" money.

Picasso regularly "paid" for meals by signing his napkin or plate. His minor "ephemera" is not terribly valuable.
