Using super famcom titles is cheating

I knew about the Zelda game on there. They really should have released it after the air time for it or whatever has ended.

The nintendo version of Blues Brothers was a bad port that barely worked, and had most of the gameplay ripped out of it. The version on Amiga was much better, and had some pretty decent MOD tracker music.

I loved E.V.O.

Sorry, but you don't get to mention Shaq Fu and not include it. It's not a binary "Jordan or Shaq" question. Either include both or neither.

The only thing that really separates either is Jordan was rarely in basketball games because he wasn't part of the Players Association, so getting his likeness meant a separate, expensive asking price beyond the normal NBA licensing.

Not sure if this counts as weird, but it's trippy enough for 420.

Don't look at me. I mention Mario and the legend of the 7 stars and I get weird looks

cretinbob: I loved E.V.O.

Yeah that one was great it might not have made a lot of sense but it was definitely something different.

I distinctly remember renting the Home Improvement game from Blockbuster. It... was not good.

And if you think movie adaptations were any better than TV adaptations, neither was Home Alone.

...there were a LOT of crap games that, as a kid, you got conned out of 5 dollars by via rental because the internet didn't yet exist, game magazine subscriptions weren't cheap, and they weren't always accurate or unbiased.

I remember thinking the first Home Alone game was actually kind of fun and different.  The second one was generic platformer crap though.

I would have gone with the excellent Unirally/Uniracers. In the grand scheme of things I suppose it's not that bizarre, but as cartridge games were so expensive to produce consoles didn't generally see the sort of fringe weirdness that was available on home computers* at the time.

It's a fun game. Most of what little time I spent on my SNES before I sold it was playing this one.

*Or CD based consoles. The 3DO had some truly bonkers releases. That's why it remains today my favourite console.

I don't know that it's fair to blame the Michael Jordan or Home Improvement games on Japan.

Had a blast playing Uniracers with friends growing up.

Also, I remember Family Dog, weird show that. Wish it lasted a bit longer.

For some reason, I remember Nintendo Power warning players there was a specific evolution in EVO that if you took it, it blocked your progress along any other evolutionary path.

Bird cannot return to reptile. Man cannot return to normal mammal. Reptile or bird can choose to go mammal or stay reptile/bird?

Iirc.

Yeah, Nintendo Power's lowest rating was the equivalent of 92/100
It had to be beyond a dog for them to ever discourage you from buying a crap game

I remember seeing that. There must have been an error of sorts since what were they thinking?
